Rattlestick Playwrights Theater's Artistic Director David Van Asselt and Managing Director Brian Long have announced the cast and creative team for the world premiere of The Revisionist, written by Jesse Eisenberg and directed by Kip Fagan. Previously announced cast members Jesse Eisenberg and Vanessa Redgrave will be joined by Daniel Oreskes.

Performances of The Revisionist begin Friday, February 15 at Cherry Lane Theatre, 80 Commerce Street. Opening night is set for Thursday, February 28 at 7pm. The Revisionist is scheduled to run through Sunday, March 31. (Please note that the starting and opening dates have changed slightly due to scheduling conflicts.)

Daniel Oreskes recently performed the role of Bretzky in Nathan Englander's The Twenty-Seventh Man at The Public Theater as well as the role of Misha in The New Group's acclaimed production of Russian Transport. Broadway credits include Billy Elliot, The Miracle Worker, Cymbeline, Electra, Aida, and The Song of Jacob Zulu. Off-Broadway credits include Terrorism, Roar, Jayson With A "Y" (New Group), A Midsummer Night's Dream at the Delacorte, John Shanley's Cellini (Second Stage), Missing Marissa (Primary Stages), Doug Wright's Quills (New York Theatre Workshop), and Arthur Miller's Mr. Peters' Connections (Signature Theatre). Film and television credits include The Thomas Crown Affair, The Devil's Advocate, "The Sopranos," "The Good Wife," "Rescue Me," "Third Watch," "Pan Am," "Law & Order."

The scenic design for The Revisionist is by John McDermott; costume design is by Jessica Pabst; lighting design is by Matt Frey; sound design is by Bart Fasbender; property design is by Andrew Diaz. The production manager is Eugenia Furneaux; the production stage manager is Christine Catti; the assistant stage manager is Michael Denis.
