The Old Globe today announced the complete cast and creative team for the West Coast Premiere of Bekah Brunstetter's quirky and tender comedy Be a Good Little Widow. Directed by Hal Brooks, Be a Good Little Widow will run May 11 - June 9, 2013 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Rattlestick Playwrights Theater's Artistic Director David Van Asselt and Managing Director Brian Long have announced the cast and creative team for the world premiere of Basilica, written by Mando Alvarado and directed by Jerry Ruiz. Basilica will begin performances on Wednesday, May 8th, 2013 at the Cherry Lane Theatre at 38 Commerce Street. The official opening night is set for Thursday, May 23rd at 7pm. The new e-Scripts, OTHER DESERT CITIES by Jon Robin Baitz , THE MOUNTAINTOP by Katori Hall and THE LYONS, by Nicky Silver were part of the recent 2011 - 2012 Broadway season. They join current offerings THE COLUMNIST by David Auburn and GRACE by Craig Wright, both produced on Broadway during the last year. The titles are included in a new release by the Dramatists Play Service as part of the worldwide e-Script agreement with MyTheaterApps.com. They are available to actors and theaters for use in memorizing lines and mounting future theatrical productions of the plays.
History Theatre is producing the world premiere of a new play by Lee Blessing about Harry Blackmun and Warren Burger, who grew up together in the Dayton's Bluff neighborhood of St. Paul and both ended up as U.
