Photo Flash: Meet the Cast of The Old Globe's BE A GOOD LITTLE WIDOW - Christine Estabrook, Zoe Winters and More!

The Old Globe today announced the complete cast and creative team for the West Coast Premiere of Bekah Brunstetter's quirky and tender comedy Be a Good Little Widow. Directed by Hal Brooks, Be a Good Little Widow will run May 11 - June 9, 2013 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Preview performances run May 11 - May 15. Opening night is Thursday, May 16 at 8:00 p.m. Meet the cast in the photos below!

Jake Cannavale, Alfredo Narciso and More Headline Rattlestick's BASILICA

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater's Artistic Director David Van Asselt and Managing Director Brian Long have announced the cast and creative team for the world premiere of Basilica, written by Mando Alvarado and directed by Jerry Ruiz. Basilica will begin performances on Wednesday, May 8th, 2013 at the Cherry Lane Theatre at 38 Commerce Street. The official opening night is set for Thursday, May 23rd at 7pm. The production is scheduled to run through June 16th.

Luna Theater Kick Offs FUTURE FEST Today

Luna Theater Company concludes its 11th season with its second annual world premiere play festival; FUTURE FEST, which is part of the the Philadelphia International Festival for the Arts (PIFA 2013). Rattlestick Playwrights Theater Artistic Director David Van Asselt and Managing Director Brian Long previously announced that its production of the world premiere of Jesse Eisenberg's The Revisionist, starring Eisenberg and Vanessa Redgrave, and directed by Kip Fagan, will play an added performance today, April 17 at 2pm at the Cherry Lane Theatre, 38 Commerce Street.

Rattlestick Extends BUYER & CELLAR Through 5/12

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater's Artistic Director David Van Asselt and Managing Director Brian Long have announced that because of rave notices and sell-out houses, the world premiere of Buyer & Cellar, written by Jonathan Tolins, directed by Stephen Brackett, and starring Michael Urie, will extend for one week, through Sunday, May 12, at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, 224 Waverly Place, west of Seventh Avenue South.

ORANGE FLOWER WATER by Craig Wright tells the story of two married couples who live with their children in the relatively peaceful town of Pine City, Minnesota. David is a pharmacist and Cathy is a teacher, while Brad runs a video store and Beth is a stay-at-home Mom. But David and Beth, after years of maintaining a platonic friendship, begin an adulterous affair which leads to disastrous consequences for both marriages.

FX Announces New Entertainment Network FXX Launching This September

On Monday, September 2, FX Networks will launch FXX, a new network aimed at young adult viewers, it was announced today by John Landgraf, President and General Manager, FX Networks. With the addition of FXX, FX Networks will become a suite of three networks consisting of FX, FXX and FXM.

Rialto Chatter: Jesse Eisenberg's THE REVISIONIST Heading to Broadway?

Jesse Eisenberg and Vanessa Redgrave currently star in the world premiere of Eisenberg's The Revisionist, directed by Kip Fagan, which began its limited run on February 6 at the Cherry Lane Theatre, 38 Commerce Street. Now according to the New York Times, the show wil extend yet again, now closing on April 27. Plus, the show is looking into a possible Broadway transfer for the 2013-14 season.

Oscar-Winner Ang Lee to Direct FX's TYRANT Pilot

Coming off of his Academy Award(R) win for Life of Pi, celebrated director Ang Lee will make his television directorial debut with FX, directing the Pilot episode for the highly anticipated drama Tyrant, from Emmy(R) and Golden Globe(R) Award-winning producers Howard Gordon and Gideon Raff (Homeland), and Emmy-nominated writer/producer Craig Wright (Six Feet Under, Lost). The announcement was made today by John Landgraf, President and General Manager, FX Networks.

Broadway's Hits Come to Scene Partner(R) With New Release of e-Scripts(TM) from Dramatists Play Service

Three new e-Scripts from Dramatists Play Service have been added to the growing library of recent Broadway hits now available for Scene Partner. The new e-Scripts, OTHER DESERT CITIES by Jon Robin Baitz , THE MOUNTAINTOP by Katori Hall and THE LYONS, by Nicky Silver were part of the recent 2011 - 2012 Broadway season. They join current offerings THE COLUMNIST by David Auburn and GRACE by Craig Wright, both produced on Broadway during the last year. The titles are included in a new release by the Dramatists Play Service as part of the worldwide e-Script agreement with MyTheaterApps.com. They are available to actors and theaters for use in memorizing lines and mounting future theatrical productions of the plays.

Photo Flash: First Look at History Theatre's COURTING HARRY World Premiere

History Theatre is producing the world premiere of a new play by Lee Blessing about Harry Blackmun and Warren Burger, who grew up together in the Dayton's Bluff neighborhood of St. Paul and both ended up as U. S. Supreme Court Justices, appointed by Richard Nixon. The production opened yesterday, March 2 and runs through March 24, 2013. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!
