Following two sold-out engagements in Los Angeles, Cruel Intentions: The Musical, a new stage adaptation of Roger Kumble's 1999 cult hit film developed by Jordan Ross and Lindsey Rosin, will make its New York premiere next month in a Pop-Up engagement at (Le) Poisson Rouge (158 Bleecker Street), for three performances only - February 11, 13 & 14, 2017.

Paper Mill Playhouse, recipient of the 2016 Tony Award for Regional Theatre, has selected students to be a part of the theater's prestigious Summer Musical Theatre Conservatory for 2016.

On Saturday, July 23 'Neighbors 2' star Seth Rogen celebrated the 34th birthday of his wife, Lauren Miller by inviting 50 of their closest friends to see The Unauthorized Musical Parody of Troop Beverly Hills housed at Rockwell Table & Stage in Los Angeles, CA. Both Seth and Lauren were seen dancing, cheering & laughing along as the cast performed to a creative musical score, which included hit songs from Whitney Houston, Madonna, and Cyndi Lauper. 

It's 'Cookie Time' again in The Unauthorized Musical Parody of Troop Beverly Hills, an all-new live interpretation of the hilarious 1989 Shelley Long comedy, running Saturdays at 8 pm and Sundays at 12 noon from July 2 to Sept 10, 2016 at Rockwell Table & Stage located in Los Feliz, CA. Exec. Producer Kate Pazakis has assembled another Ri-Dic-U-lously talented troupe of singer/comedians to totally WOW their Rockwell audience in THE UNAUTHORIZED MUSICAL PARODY OF TROOP BEVERLY HILLS. Pazakis & company have a talented knack for picking appropriate movies (Devil Wears Prada, Big Lebowski) & spoofing them, using covers of familiar pop tunes to advance the original plotlines.

Lovers of the era of Busby Berkeley movie musicals are getting a double whammy of Golden Age goodness this month with a pair of musicals playing only two blocks from each other in Hollywood. I ONLY HAVE EYES FOR YOU is already running at the mid-sized Ricardo Montalban Theatre on Vine and, very shortly, 42ND STREET will open at the much larger Hollywood Pantages. Both are inescapably linked by their subject matter.  

Corky Hale presents I ONLY HAVE EYES FOR YOU - The Life and Lyrics of Al Dubin, which opened May 13 at the Montalban Theatre, 1615 Vine St. in Hollywood. This new musical features lyrics by Al Dubin, music mostly by Harry Warren, book by Jerry Leichtling and Arlene Sarner, and musical direction by Gerald Sternbach. After a three-month sold-out run, the hit "For The Record" series will extend their critically-acclaimed evening inspired by the films of Baz Luhrmann at West Hollywood's DBA (www.dbahollywood.com) every Thursday - Sunday through December 30, 2014.
