TOOTSIE, the hilarious Tony Award-winning musical, is coming to Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall at FSW for a limited one-week engagement from April 4 to April 9, 2023.

The Marsh Berkeley will inspire audiences this fall with The Never Too Late Show starring Don Reed, a comic tale about never giving up. Both hilarious and heartbreaking, this new work by fan favorite Don Reed chronicles his travails and perseverance through the Hollywood gauntlet to late night television.

TOOTSIE, the hilarious Tony Award-winning musical, is coming to Akron for a limited two-performance engagement at E.J. Thomas Performing Arts Hall on the University of Akron campus November 29-30 as part of the Broadway in Akron series.

The newly renovated State Theatre New Jersey presents the hilarious Tony Award-winning musical, Tootsie, for four performances on Friday, November 4 at 8pm; Saturday, November 5 at 2pm and 8pm; and Sunday, November 6 at 2pm. Tickets range from $40-$98.

The Key West Film Festival announced the recipients of its annual Golden Key Awards to be presented to screen legend Chris Cooper and Elegance Bratton, director of the upcoming release The Inspection. Past recipients of the award include Burt Reynolds, Marisa Tomei, Kimberly Peirce, Tom Skerritt, Lois Smith, Paul Verhoeven and Alan Cumming.

BroadwayWorld is saddened to report that Michael Callan, who starred as Riff in the original Broadway cast of West Side Story, has died at age 86. 

The Santa Fe Opera will present the world premiere of This Little Light of Mine, a new opera about the life of voting rights activist Fannie Lou Hamer. The one-act opera is composed by Chandler Carter with libretto by Diana Solomon-Glover. Under development since 2017, the piece is commissioned by the Santa Fe Opera and its Opera for All Voices (OFAV) consortium partners.

The National Film Board of Canada (NFB) is saddened to learn of the death of filmmaker Gerald Potterton (1931–2022), who died at the Brome-Missisquoi-Perkins Hospital in Cowansville, Quebec, on the evening of Tuesday, August 23, at the age of 91.
