Broadway Arts Community has just announced a new Spotlight Scholarship, shining a light on BIPOC artists and their voices. This year Summer BAC will have several full tuition scholarships for our Summer Roots in NYC, in addition to some additional financial assistance for any and all artists. In December, Broadway lost one of its brightest stars in Ann Reinking, who sadly passed away at the age of 71. Her legacy live on though, as dancers from the Broadway and National touring companies of Fosse and Chicago have reunited to tribute her memory.

What started out as a fun project during the 2020 Coronavirus Pandemic quarantine on our private Facebook group evolved into something emotional, nostalgic, and uniquely unifying amidst a very dark and isolated period in humanity. Now, more than a decade after their closing night, 44 cast members of the Broadway revival of 'A Chorus Line' share what brought them all together 'again'. It was... 5, 6, 7, 8.

A five, six, seven, eight! The legendary original production of A Chorus Line celebrates the 44th anniversary of its opening night this week. In honor of the occasion, we're looking back at the opening of the show's revival featuring Tony Yazbeck, Jason Tam, Charlotte d'Amboise, and more! The theater community spans across the world, but it is famously small. So when you don't pay people who works for you, it tends to get out, especially if those folks have Broadway connections. Such is the pickle that former performer and casting director David Petro seems to have found himself in. He allegedly hasn't paid various people who worked for him teaching master classes and word is now spreading.

Pioneer Theatre Company previously announced Donny Osmond's involvement in the upcoming production of the musical The Will Rogers Follies: A Life in Review, running May 5 - 20, 2017. Osmond will serve as the recorded voice of 'Florenz Ziegfeld,' a role recorded by Gregory Peck in the original Broadway production. Osmond has contributed his time and talent in support of Pioneer Theatre Company.

ANASTASIA'S Ian Knauer hosts the Broadway Artists & Friends Mic & Mingle on Monday, May 22nd at 6:30pm (doors open at 5:30pm). The evening will be kicked off by a stellar line up of Broadway pros (listed below) followed by selected artists at the legendary Laurie Beechman Theatre.
