Fall performance tickets will be available for presale to the Friends of the Center for the Arts on August 3 at 10 a.m. and to the general public on August 10 at 10 a.m. Tickets will be available for purchase in person at the Center for the Arts Ticket Office (open Tuesday–Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.), by calling 703-993-2787, or through the Center for the Arts' website.

The Flynn has announced the grand reopening of its historic Main Stage theater, which will feature special programs from local, national, and global artists, updated facilities, and a Broadway season. The Grand Reopening Celebration will be held, at full capacity, on Saturday, October 23.

Hear the stories of young refugees when CARTOGRAPHY asks what part we play in the lives of young people who set out into the unsure waters of their futures. Conceived and created by acclaimed experimental theater artist Kaneza Schaal [Bryce Dessner's Triptych (Eyes of One on Another)] and Caldecott-winning author and illustrator Christopher Myers (Misty Copeland's Firebird; creative director, Penguin Random House's Make Me a World) and produced by ArKtype, CARTOGRAPHY investigates how stories became a currency for young migrants at border checkpoints.

BRIC, Brooklyn's leading presenter of arts and cultural programming, is pleased to announce the recipients of the first Colene Brown Art Prize, which awards ten under-recognized New York-based visual artists with $10,000 unrestricted grants. The Colene Brown Art Prize is underwritten by artist and BRIC Board Member Deborah Brown in memory of her late mother, Colene Brown, and is funded through the Harold and Colene Brown Family Foundation.
