The Kennedy Center Announces the 2018-2019 Performances for Young Audiences Season

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts today announced programming for its 2018-2019 season of Performances for Young Audiences, featuring trailblazing journeys in theater, music, and dance that will inspire and resonate with audiences of all ages. The Kennedy Center has commissioned and co-commissioned six world premiere works that will bring audiences on expeditions through time and place to Birmingham in the 1960s, through a young man's imagination in present day New York City, and even to the stars and beyond.

The Public & Brooklyn College Team to Foster Emerging Artists and Administrators

The Public Theater and Brooklyn College announced today a new partnership, strengthening both institutions' deep commitment to fostering the professional development of talented emerging artists and arts administrators. The partnership will invest in nurturing generations of arts leaders whose presence will help diversify the field. This partnership is made possible with the generous support of The Tow Foundation.

2015 Ezra Jack Keats Book Award Winners Are Announced

NEW YORK, Feb. 11, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ The Ezra Jack Keats Foundation in partnership with the de Grummond Children's Literature Collection at The University of Southern Mississippi announced today the winners of the 29th annual Ezra Jack Keats Book Award. Each year, a new writer and new illustrator are celebrated. The 2015 awards ceremony will be held on April 9th during the Fay B. Kaigler Children's Book Festival at The University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg. The winners receive a gold medallion as well as an honorarium of $1,000.
