Dedicated to the development of performing arts through education and scholarships, Las Casas Foundation has announced its annual scholarship program historically held at the Charline McCombs Empire Theatre will culminate in an online variety show on Sunday, May 17, 6:00 PM CST.

In the spirit of show business, 'The show must go on!' and for Las Casas Foundation, the show will indeed go on...line! Las Casas Foundation, in partnership with Blanchard Creative Group and Walley Films, has announce dthat 25 finalists will step into the spotlight through a digital variety show to premiere on Sunday, May 17.

After a widely successful first round of streaming events, The Wilbury Group announces new events to be streamed through May 6. In addition to the previously announced performances of New and Dangerous Ideas by Christopher Johnson and CVK.

The Wilbury Theatre Group announces a new calendar of classes, performances, and events to be live-streamed on the company's Facebook and YouTube pages from now until April 12.

Citadel Theatre has announced the cast and crew for the third production of its 17th season - THE FANTASTICKS. The world's longest running musical, THE FANTASTICKS tells the story of Matt and Luisa, young next-door neighbors who fall in love precisely because their scheming fathers, knowing the kids will do exactly what they're told NOT to do, have been keeping them apart.

The Monteux School & Music Festival (MSMF) presents the second Winter Concerts & Conducting Workshop public concerts January 4 and 5, 2020, in New York City at the Good Shepherd-Faith Presbyterian Church near Lincoln Center. The concerts are the culmination of the four-day workshop beginning January 2.

Renowned violinist/composer Daniel Bernard Roumain collaborates with local music makers in a concert infused with electronic, urban, and classical sounds, celebrating a worldview of civil rights for all.

'Anthem for the Middle Aged Band' is a film that shows how a band is a family. Like any tight relationship that is worth a damn, breaking up was not easy. Time had to work its course to lead them to a collective resolve, and eventually to spark fire in constructive creativity.

There is tremendous support in our audience for bringing younger people into the theatre, and we're having some success in that regard. I'm positive, but I'm also unsure of where we are headed with digital technologies and what they mean for our industry and the larger culture. Our challenge, I suppose, is to be adaptive to what comes along without giving up the wisdom and glories of the past.
