Head Trick Announces 2019-20 Season IN WAR WITH TIME

Featuring two U.S. premieres, "In War With Time" is a season on an epic and an intimate scale, about the span of a life and the moments and choices that shape it.

Award-winning artists' collective Rogue Artists Ensemble is thrilled to announce the Inaugural Rogue Lab Readings Series, a four-day event that includes readings of seven new works written, directed, and designed by emerging LA artists, as well as post-show discussions and receptions. The reading series will feature new plays by 2018-2019 Rogue Lab playwrights Lisa Sanaye Dring, Eric Fagundes, John Guerra, Mildred Inez Lewis, Chelsea Sutton, and Jennie Webb, and a special new play presentation by writing team Taylor Coffman and Z. Lupetin.

Two adult sisters return to their childhood home, where they once again come face to face with the perils and fantasies of their youth. In Polly Pen and Peggy Harmon's haunting chamber musical, adapted from Christina Rossetti's poem, the wilder Laura chafes against the limits of her ordinary life, and succumbs to the lure of the goblin fruits and the mysterious world they promise. It's up to cautious Lizzie to face down the goblins, and save herself and her sister from their darkest selves.

The Sonoran Desert Chorale announces the first concert of their 24th season. The concert, titled To Everything There Is a Season, reflects the gifts of all the seasons of life.  Pete Seeger's immortal folk ballad, Turn, Turn, Turn is the perfect framework for this first concert. It brings audiences the works of contemporary composers like Ola Gjeilo, Jake Runestad, and Kim Andre Arneson whose music contemplates loss and life's storms as well as evoking moments of joy and peace.   Performances of To Everything There Is a Season will take place Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 7:30 P.M. at First United Methodist Church, 15 E.
