=The Soraya's intimate onstage Jazz Club welcomes GRAMMY Winner Luciana Souza for two nights performing songs from her critically acclaimed album, The Book of Longing. Inspired by the poetry of Leonard Cohen, Brazilian-American vocal jazz veteran Souza explores the theme of saudade, or yearning, in this work. NPR music critic Michelle Mercer has said of Souza's The Book of Longing, a?oe[This is her] most graceful albuma??it's one of her best yet.a??

Head Trick Theatre opens their 2019-2020 season, "In War With Time," with Jennifer Dick's small cast adaptation of the play QUEEN MARGARET, which takes a closer look at Margaret of Anjou. A character in several of Shakespeare's "history plays," she is finally given her time in the spotlight, with a fuller look at her role in the 15th century War of the Roses. The audience is left to decide whether she is a hero or a villain.

Award-winning artists' collective Rogue Artists Ensemble is thrilled to announce the Inaugural Rogue Lab Readings Series, a four-day event that includes readings of seven new works written, directed, and designed by emerging LA artists, as well as post-show discussions and receptions. Head Trick Theatre announces a season of wit, magic, and danger, following its recently acclaimed productions of Gabriel and God of Vengeance. Titled "Making a World," the 2018-19 season asks audiences to join Head Trick's performers in creating new worlds through innovative approaches to three classics.

Montreal is a renowned circus city, along with dance and theatre. Combining all three, Mike Edward and Eve Gordon, co-artistic directors of New Zealand's pre-eminent circus company The Dust Palace, are delighted to return to their favourite city with The Goblin Market. This striking show celebrates the female gaze in its exploration of sexuality and the power of sisterhood through double trapeze, mask, acrobatics, film, aerial work, music and spoken word. After wowing audiences last November, it returns to Centaur Theatre for three nights only- Sept. 27-29. Contains nudity and adult themes.
