The Joffrey Ballet Presents CONTEMPORARY CHOREOGRAPHERS, Now thru 2/23

This winter, The Joffrey Ballet revisits its contemporary roots with a mixed repertory program titled 'Contemporary Choreographers,' an evening of three pieces, two by some of contemporary ballet's most luminous choreographers working today and one by a local 'rising star' choreographer. Miriam Theatre Presents Natalie Merchant, 7/20

On Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at 8pm, Natalie Merchant will perform at the Merriam Theater of the University of the Arts. This appearance is part of her nationwide tour in support of her new album Leave Your Sleep. The tour will be Merchant's first major outing in seven years. Merchant and her eight-piece band will perform new material as well as favorites from throughout her career.

Classical Connections presents pianist and composer Gregg Kallor in a solo concert at the Cornelia Street Café on Thursday, June 17th at 6:00 p.m. Mr. Kallor's fresh approach to the solo piano recital seamlessly integrates original music, contemporary pieces, classic repertoire, and improvisation. Admission is $10, plus a one-drink minimum.
