Following postponement due to the Omicron surge in January, Jazz at Lincoln Center will honor the music and legacy of late jazz icon Chick Corea in Rose Theater on April 15–16 at 8:00 p.m. with Celebrating Chick Corea.

Jazz programming has been announced at Birdland Jazz Club and Birdland Theater from April 4 - April 17.

The DC Jazz Festival® (DCJF) today announced the initial lineup for the 18th Annual DC JazzFest, taking place August 31 - September 4. Featured artists include Christian McBride & Inside Straight, Cindy Blackman Santana Band, DCJF Artist-In-Residence Orrin Evans’ Captain Black Big Band, Dianne Reeves, The Baylor Project, Emmet Cohen, and many more.

On Thursday, March 31st from 5:00 - 6:30 pm in Dorothy Maynor Hall at the Harlem School of the Arts (HSA), the brilliant young pianist, bandleader and composer Isaiah J. Thompson will guide the HSA's young instrumentalist student group, through a masterclass that includes a critique on technique, performance and improvisational skills.

The Birdland Jazz Club and Theater has released their programming from March 28th through April 10th. Artists appearing at Birdland Jazz Club include Emmet’s Place: Emmet Cohen Trio Featuring Special Guests, Ed Neumeister’s Assembláge Jazz Orchestra, Ravi Coltrane Quartet, and John Minnock with Dave Liebman.

The Royal Conservatory Of Music has announced its April lineup of concerts including Live Life Now, Live Music Again @ Koerner Hall and classical concerts with Ivo Pogorelić, Joyce DiDonato, Sir Bryn Terfel, Eve Egoyan and more!

After demonstrating his prodigious talent while still a young child, 20-year-old composer and pianist Matthew Whitaker has established himself as one of the hottest new names in jazz.

Combining their distinct talents, the group will sing their way through four decades of music, beginning with the early blues and jazz of the 1920s and ending in the early 1950s. Iconic singers to be explored include Ma Rainey, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra and Judy Garland. Check out the full list of tour dates now!

Disney’s regional jazz exhibit, “The Soul of Jazz: An American Adventure,” will open at The National Jazz Museum in Harlem on Feb. 10, coinciding with Black History Month. Visitors are joined by Joe Gardner – the musician, mentor and teacher from Disney and Pixar’s “Soul” – on a tour as they discover the rich and surprising history of jazz.
