After yesterday's news that Canadian pop group Barenaked Ladies will no longer be writing songs for the musical adaptation of ANIMAL HOUSE, The Calgary Herald reports that the band's lead singer Ed Robertson said he and the group are 'disappointed that things didn't work out' with the show and that they 'ultimately couldn't give any more time to the project' due to a new record and tour.

According to the Lethbridge Herald, Canadian pop group Barenaked Ladies will no longer be composing songs for the upcoming Broadway musical adaptation of ANIMAL HOUSE. They were replaced by composer David Yazbek (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels) a few months ago.

Variety reports that Halle Berry will star in and produce the upcoming indie comedy MOTHER, which is aiming to begin production next year. Emilio Ferrari for Entertainment 7, Vincent Cirrincione (Berry's manager) and Chris Miller will also produce the picture.

Chiller today unveiled two additions to its growing slate of original films: Animal, from executive producer Drew Barrymore for Flower Films, and Deep in the Darkness, from Synthetic Cinema International.

The Lego Movie is an upcoming stop-motion adventure comedy film directed by Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs helmers Phil Lord and Chris Miller. The film is scheduled to be released on February 7, 2014.
