The Eagle Theatre, located at 208 Vine Street in Hammonton, NJ, premiered its Main Stage production of Urinetown: The Musical on June 7. Scroll down for a first look at the production!

Sourcing talent from New Jersey, Philadelphia and Wilmington, DE to build its 16 member cast, the Eagle Theatre assembled some of the best actors in the region.

Debuting on Broadway in 2001, Urinetown quickly became a hit sensation, and even won four Tony Awards that year. It went on to stage 965 performances in New York City before charming audiences around the world with sharp wit that satirizes everything from corporate corruption to municipal politics. Set in a world where a 20-year drought has forced authoritarian water restrictions into effect, citizens must now pay a fee to use private bathrooms. A hero, tired of this injustice, rises to lead a revolution, albeit more Mel Brooks than Les Miserables.

Urinetown will continue its run at the Eagle Theatre until June 29 with showings on June 21, 22, 27, 28 and 29 at 8 p.m., and a matinee on June 23 at 3 p.m. Tickets are $25 for General Admission and $30 for Front Rows, and can be purchased at www.TheEagleTheatre.com.
