Pitlochry Festival Theatre is set to close its Studio Season with the première of A Toast Fae The Lassies, a new musical play by John Binnie and Alyson Orr that explores the life of Robert Burns

Pitlochry Festival Theatre’s production of Sunshine on Leith, Stephen Greenhorn’s much-loved musical featuring the songs from world-renowned Scottish band The Proclaimers, is set to return to the Theatre in the Hills this Summer.

This July, Pitlochry Festival Theatre will stage a new production of Patrick Barlow’s hilarious Olivier and Tony Award winning stage adaptation of Alfred Hitchcock’s iconic 1935 spy thriller, The 39 Steps.

This June an exciting new production of the iconic rock ‘n' roll musical Grease is set to get the Pitlochry Festival Theatre 2025 Auditorium Season off to a classic start when it opens at Scotland's Theatre in the Hills from 18 June until 27 September.

Musical Theatre Network and Mercury Musical Developments today announce the programme selected from their pitching days held around the UK between September and November for BEAM2018. Fifty-eight of the new British musicals pitched at these days have been selected to be shared at the biennial industry showcase which will next year be held at Theatre Royal Stratford East on 1 and 2 March. BEAM is designed for anyone in a position to help develop and stage new British musicals to attend, bringing the most exciting musical theatre projects together from around the UK for industry professionals to grab the opportunity to become involved from the early stages of development.

Final casting has been announced for the UK tour of Save the Last Dance for Me. Lola Saunders, a finalist on The X Factor 2014, will make her theatrical debut in the role of Jennifer starring alongside previously announced Antony Costa as Milton, with Wayne Robinson as Curtis and Elizabeth Carter returning to the role of Marie.
