Denver Center for the Performing Arts Broadway proudly announces the 2018/19 season, kicking off with the national tour launch of the 2017 Tony & Grammy-winning Best Musical, DEAR EVAN HANSEN, at The Buell Theatre September 25 through October 13, 2018. Actress and former Miss America, Lee Meriwether, was honored in Los Angeles on February 10th by Theatre West; the theatre company she helped found 55 years ago.  Aside from originating the role of  Catwomen on Batman in the 1960s, Meriwether starred in such series as Time Tunnel, Barnaby Jones,  All My Children, Star Trek and many more. 

On this day in 2016, the coming of age story of A Bronx Tale made its world premiere at Paper Mill Playhouse in Millburn, New Jersey.

Off-Broadway's THE MUSHROOM CURE will present a post-show talkback on Thursday, January 18. Written and performed by Adam Strauss and directed by Jonathan Libman, THE MUSHROOM CURE was recently extended through January 27 at Theatre 80 St. Marks. Inspired by a scientific study showing that hallucinogenic mushrooms may cure obsessive-compulsive disorder, Adam Strauss embarked on a program of vigilante psychopharmacology. By turns hilarious and harrowing, THE MUSHROOM CURE recounts the true-life story of Adam's attempt to treat his debilitating OCD with psychedelics.

The producers of Broadway's hit musical, A Bronx Tale, will make a donation of $4.00 for every ticket sold to performances from January 16 through January 21 through The Child Reach Foundation to help families affected by the fire that burned the apartment building located on Prospect Avenue in the Belmont section of the Bronx on December 28th, 2017. The deadliest New York City fire in the past 25 years, the Bronx Fire took the lives of thirteen men, women and children.

Some of Broadway's biggest and brightest names will light the stage tonight in the all-star gala concert event, Broadway: A Jewish American Legacy, which will be presented by the National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene (NYTF) on Monday, December 18, 2017 at 7pm in the Edmond J. Safra Theatre at the Museum of Jewish Heritage (36 Battery Place).
