Playhouse Square Announces 2018-19 KEYBANK BROADWAY SERIES

A crowd of 2800+ filled the Connor Palace this evening, as Playhouse Square unveiled the seven shows that will be featured in their highly-anticipated 2018-2019 KeyBank Broadway Series. The annual season announcement and launch party featured a variety of performances and appearances from various Broadway artists. Performances by cast members from the 2018 North American Tour of MISS SAIGON and COME FROM AWAY had audience members on their feet, and the evening's special guests included Beverley Bass, the real-life pilot featured in COME FROM AWAY, and Academy Award nominee Chazz Palminteri, whose real childhood story is brought to life in the musical A BRONX TALE.

Executive Producer of Playhouse Square Gina Vernaci stated, "The KeyBank Broadway Series will give us the opportunity to see seven beloved Broadway musicals from the comfort of our seats at Playhouse Square. We will hear stories that have changed people's lives. We will hear lush scores that will resonate deeply within our souls. And we will have the visual feast of delicious costumes and sets. With a mix of cherished revivals and captivating new productions making their Cleveland debut, this season truly has it all."

Once again, Playhouse Square, with more than 45,000 season ticket holders, leads the nation's Broadway tour markets. For the third year in a row, Playhouse Square will offer each production for a total of 3 weeks, giving Northeast Ohioans additional opportunities to catch some of the most incredible shows that touring Broadway has to offer.
