Naturally, New York City and theatre fans across the world are excitedly buzzing about this year's ceremonies, which will be broadcast live from Radio City Music Hall on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at 8/7c on CBS. As always, this Broadway season has some exciting contenders in the musical categories, and to get you ready for the big night, I'm recapping the albums you should be listening to (or at least pre-ordering).

Outer Critics Circle, the organization of writers and commentators for media covering New York theatre announced today its award winners for the 2016-17 season in 27 categories.

Chazz, or 'C' as his friends called him in The Bronx told some great stories to his fellow Friars in the Frank Sinatra Room last night. It was after an Italian  Buffet Feast in the Milton Berle and Barbra Streisand Rooms at the 'Monastery' on 55th street that Chazz explained that he was doing nothing different then what he used to do as a youngster in The Bronx.  His friend's would say 'let Chazz tell the story.'  

The Outer Critics Circle, the organization of writers covering New York theatre for out-of-town newspapers, national publications and other media beyond Broadway, will welcome Danny Burstein and Jane Krakowski to announce the nominees for the 2016-17 season on Tuesday, April 25th (11AM) in the Oak Room at New York's renowned Algonquin Hotel (59 West 44th Street). Tony nominated Austin Pendleton returns to the faculty of Broadway Theatre Project's (BTP) this summer after directing the revival of Horton Foote's 1955 play The Traveling Lady at the Cherry Lane Theatre. Acclaimed vocalist and BTP alumni Todrick Hall, also returns as a visiting artist to the summer institute.

Internationally-known voice coaches Peisha McPhee and Michael Orland have a message for prospective Broadway Theatre Project (BTP) students to encourage them to apply for the summer institute where they will be teaching this summer.

The international comedy hit My Mother's Italian, My Father's Jewish & I'm in Therapy!, featuring Peter J. Fogel, begins performances at the Colony Theatre in Burbank on Wednesday, April 26 at 8pm. The visiting production will continue through Sunday, June 25.
