The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts has announced the full cast and creative team for the World Premiere commissioned musical The Day You Begin.

Following its record-breaking run earlier this year, Dirty Dancing – The Classic Story on Stage shimmies and shakes its way back to the Dominion Theatre in 2023 for a limited time only.

Berkeley Playhouse continues its 22/23 Season with Roald Dahl's Matilda the Musical, performing November 4 to December 23, 2022.

​​​​​​​Due to a positive Covid test by one of the actors in our current show Thumbs, Charlotte's Off-Broadway is cancelling the shows on Oct 19, 20, 21 and 22, but extending the run to add shows on Nov 2, 3, 4 and 5, 2022.

Paper Mill Playhouse has announced casting for The Sound of Music, directed by Mark S. Hoebee. The production will feature Ashley Blanchet (Paper Mill’s Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella, Broadway’s Waitress) as Maria Rainer, and Graham Rowat (Broadway’s Dear Evan Hansen, Sunset Boulevard) as Captain Georg von Trapp.

British Youth Music Theatre, in partnership with The New Wolsey Theatre in Ipswich, has announced the applications are now open for the 2023 New Music Theatre Award. The award seeks to find and support exciting new voices in UK Music Theatre, giving them a platform to develop a brand-new piece to full production with the young people of the BYMT company.

Knight Theater should have been abuzz last Friday night. Yet somehow, a year after Charlotte Ballet's 50th-anniversary celebration - celebrated a year after the company's actual 50th anniversary - my own excitement wasn't reflected by the community at large. A night after Opera Carolina opened its 2022-23 season at Belk Theater to an empty upper balcony and a disappointing crowd, the curtain went up on Ballet's new era with a similarly sparse turnout.

Toronto's ARC theatre company has announced its first show of 2023: the Canadian premiere of MARTYR by Marius von Mayenburg (translated by Maja Zade), directed by Co-Artistic Producer Rob Kempson. MARTYR will run at the Aki Studio Theatre, Daniel's Spectrum, from January 13 to 29, 2023. Opening night is January 14.

Today Q, Murr and Sal, creators and stars of truTV's hit show Impractical Jokers, announced a brand-new live comedy tour, The DRIVE DRIVE DRIVE DRIVE DRIVE Tour. Launching February 2023, the much anticipated 16 city tour is produced by Outback Presents and Live Nation. The tour will play the North Charleston Coliseum on February 16, 2023.

The Day My Father Died, the new album from SYML—the solo project of singer, songwriter and producer Brian Fennell. A new track, “Howling” featuring Lucius, is out now with an accompanying video. The video, filmed in Montreal, was directed by Benjamin Lussier and produced by Parce Que Films.

The Great British Bake Off Musical will transfer to the West End opening at the Noël Coward Theatre for a limited twelve-week run from 25 February to 13 May 2023.

Katy Lipson for Aria Entertainment has announced the casting for the world premiere of Claus The Musical which will run at The Lowry from 14 December 2022 – 8 January. The cast includes Georgie Buckland who will play Necile, Junior Delius (AK), Chris Draper (Will Knook), Jazz Evans (Awgwa), and more.

MARENA PḖREZ and DANIEL SAEZ, principal dancers of the Mauro Ballet Company of Puerto Rico, will be guest artists in the Shreveport Metropolitan Ballet's production of The Nutcracker on December 10 and 11, 2022 at the Riverview Theatre in Shreveport, Louisiana.
