Wish Upon A Star is filled to the brim with new takes on classic songs from Jerry Reed, Elvis, The Beatles, Cat Stevens, and The Carpenters among others. Produced by Alpert and recorded at his home in Los Angeles, the album continues to serve up the unmistakable trumpet playing of the Tijuana Brass master, who just turned 88 this year.

After two highly successful runs at VAULT Festival and Pleasance London, winner of the VAULT Festival Origins Award and Offie-nominated phenomenon, Dumbledore Is So Gay returns to London this August at Southwark Playhouse Borough.

Cinderella - it’s a tale as old as time. Oh wait, wrong show. It’s pretty close, though. The story has roots as far back as 200 B.C. in Egypt, but the most well-known version dates to the 17th century, which is the one made famous by Disney in 1950. Broadway at Music Circus is showcasing a new adaptation of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella that features a revised book by Douglas Carter Beane. Originally made for television in 1957, Beane’s vision strays from that by incorporating modern elements that appeal to an evolving society while keeping some of the old fairytale flavor. Modern Cinderella opened on Broadway in 2013, the first time ever for any rendition of that title, and ran for two years. Now, it’s here to continue Broadway at Music Circus’ streak of being the place to be in the summer since 1951.

Rabbit Rabbit was co-produced by the band with Illuminati Hotties’ Sarah Tudzin (who also mixed the record), mastered by Emily Lazar & Chris Allgood at The Lodge (New York, NY), and was recorded between Rancho de la Luna (Joshua Tree, CA) & Sonic Ranch (Tornillo, TX). Plus, check out upcoming tour dates!

Broadway World took a two-hour vacation with JIMMY BUFFETT’S ESCAPE TO MARGARITAVILLE Thursday, June 22, at the Studio Theatre, 320 W 7th St, in Little Rock. We were all partying to this jukebox musical, singing along to the hits, making new friends, and sipping on our tasty margaritas. The only thing missing was a nice juicy cheeseburger. 

As they prepare for the release of their new album …And I For You next month, acclaimed Annapolis, Maryland-based trio Pressing Strings, whose influences range from folk, blues, rock, funk, soul, and reggae, has released their new single “Carousel.” “Carousel” is an older catalog selection the band revamped for the new album.

“Back To Life” finds Poolside--the recording project of Los Angeles-based producer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Jeffrey Paradise—teaming again with Australian artist Panama. Known for their previous releases “Kinda Lovely” and “Can’t Stop Your Lovin’”-- both which appeared on Poolside’s Low Season album.

Korean-American entertainer, singer-songwriter, and actor Eric Nam has released his highly anticipated single, “House on a Hill,” available to stream and purchase here via The Orchard. The new single was produced by longtime collaborator Rabitt. Eric also wrote the song with Rabitt, Madison Simmen and Riley Biederer.

Mancari has already shared the record’s lead single and queer joy anthem “Over and Over” featuring Julien Baker to critical acclaim, and Mancari shares another taste of the album, releasing “Don’t Even Worry,” a guitar-driven ode to our closest friends. A range of 39 free events have been added to Edinburgh International Festival's 2023 programme, the first from incoming Festival Director Nicola Benedetti.

After a sold-out performance at this year’s Wandsworth Arts Fringe in London, a witty new show based on Shakespeare’s The Merry Wives of Windsor will be showing at Laurel’s in Whitley Bay for two nights only.

13 will open at Theatre in the Park on Friday, June 30.

‘NO MORE SOUND’ is Sad Park’s third full length. The band worked with AJJ’s Sean Bonnette, who oversaw production and collaborated with Steele on the lyric writing process, helped bassist/vocalist Sam Morton, drummer Grant Bubar and guitarist Aidan Memory create a record that flows from beginning to end.
