Over the span of two hours, TIME STANDS STILL explores the relationship between the individuals and the two couples at a crucial juncture in each of their lives. Their desire to move forward in conflict with the comfort of clinging to the past. Will they fight, challenge, accept, reject, change, or stand still?

BWW Review: Syracuse Stage Presents an Energetic Contemporary Production of PRIDE AND PREJUDICE

Syracuse Stage has once again brought a creative and entertaining play to its audience. This time around it is Kate Hamill's modern take on the Jane Austen 1813 classic novel Pride and Prejudice. Hamill's creative and comedic Pride and Prejudice is certainly not what you might expect. The high energy comedic production is full of wonderful surprises under the impressive direction of Jason O'Connell.

BWW Review: BEDLAM'S PYGMALION: The Unsinkable Eliza Doolittle

Bedlam returns to Central Square theater for the third time in five seasons, fresh from a critically-acclaimed production Off-Off-Broadway. A little more than a century after George Bernard Shaw wrote PYGMALION, it continues to resonate in the #MeToo era with its feminist ideology.

BWW Review: HIR at Shakespeare & Company pushes boundaries in a powerful examination of why people “DO” like they “DO”.

HIR is anything but traditional. Playwright Taylor Mac has termed his work 'absurd realism' wherein 'the absurdity comes from a heightened but realistic point of view'. Those bold, brave, and open enough to sit in the discomfort that may come with looking at things from diverse points of view will be rewarded with a rich, and very real perspective on the world in which we live.

Shakespeare & Company Presents HIR By Taylor Mac

Shakespeare & Company presents Obie Award-winning playwright Taylor Mac's dark comedy HIR, directed by Alice Reagan, and featuring long-time Company veterans John Hadden and Elizabeth Aspenlieder. Performances run in the Elayne P. Bernstein Theatre September 13 - October 7.

BWW Review: HEISENBERG Intrigues at Shakespeare & Company

If you are unnerved by dangling participles, musical compositions with un-resolved chords, or you like a play to flow logically along an expected rhythm or path and tie-up loose ends; HEISENBERG may leave you unfulfilled. Those who enjoy intrigue, the unconventional, and a few wait-what moments will likely find it more of a satisfying meal.

Shakespeare & Company Presents HEISENBERG directed by Tina Packer

Shakespeare & Company presents Heisenberg by Tony Award-winning playwright Simon Stephens (The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time), directed by Founding Artistic Director Tina Packer. Featuring Company veterans Tamara Hickey and Malcolm Ingram, performances run in the Tina Packer Playhouse August 11 - September 2.
