BWW Review: Trinity Rep's THE HEIDI CHRONICLES is Smart and Charming
by Andria Tieman - Dec 8, 2015

THE HEIDI CHRONICLES follows the career, social activities and love life of Heidi Holland, through 1970's & 80's .  While hers is not an everywoman story, there is still something that every woman today has gone through or will face in the future, namely, the quest to 'have it all', the question of whether or not that's even possible and what it means to be a feminist.  If that all sounds too heavy, don't worry.  This play has a lightness of tone that belies the serious issues underneath, and really strikes the perfect note of intelligent discourse with a heavy dose of levity. BWW Reviews: ORPHEUS DESCENDING Seethes With Raw Power, Love and Lust
by Jay Irwin - Jul 13, 2015

I mean we're talking about a 3 hour Tennessee Williams play put on by a brand new to Seattle theatre company. But it's moments like this that make being a theater reviewer worth all the time spent when that trepidation turns into absolute awe-inspired elation at seeing a beautifully simple, well thought out and brilliantly portrayed production such as this that ranks up there with one of the best things I've seen all year. BWW Reviews: The Sidesplitting and Strange MELANCHOLY PLAY: A CHAMBER MUSICAL at Trinity Rep
by Andria Tieman - Jun 4, 2015

Melancholy Play: A Chamber Musical, begins as one might expect-- with a song about being melancholy. Set in what looks like the aftermath of a New Year's eve party with gold tinsel strewn about the floor, and a sad, saggy banner on the back wall. Our five characters regale the audience a song of melancholy setting the audience up for a witty, if nonsensical 90 minutes. (more...)
