The Writers Guild of America, East (WGAE) and the Writers Guild of America West (WGAW) tonight announced the winners of the 2019 Writers Guild Awards for outstanding achievement in writing for film, television, new media, videogames, news, radio/audio, promotional, and graphic animation categories at concurrent ceremonies at the Edison Ballroom in New York City and The Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles.

FOX has picked up nine additional episodes of new comedy THE COOL KIDS, which joins LAST MAN STANDING with a full season order, it was announced today by Michael Thorn, President, Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company. 

Matthew McConaughey, Kate Beckinsale, and “Crazy Rich Asians” actor Henry Golding are set to star in Guy Ritchie's British crime drama, 'Toff Guys,' according to Variety.

The Friday, September 28th, premieres of LAST MAN STANDING and THE COOL KIDS and return of HELL'S KITCHEN delivered FOX its most-watched Friday with entertainment in a decade and highest-rated Premiere Week Friday in seven years in 3-Day delayed viewing. In winning the night, FOX won three consecutive nights during Premiere Week – Wednesday, Thursday and Friday – for the first time in its history.

Big laughs kick off the month, on Saturday, October 6th, with stand-up comedian GARY VIDER. Gary performs regularly in NYC and went all the way to the finals on NBC's America's Got Talent in 2015. His television appearances include Conan, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, AXS TV Gotham Live, and Comics Unleashed with Byron Allen. All Seats are $21.00, and the hilarity begins at 8 PM.

The Paley Center for Media announced today that it will host its 12th annual PaleyFest Fall TV Previews September 6-16, 2018, at the Paley Center's Beverly Hills location. The ten-day festival celebrates the most anticipated new shows of the Fall 2018 television season as well as returning favorites from all five major broadcast networks, cable television, and premium streaming services. Each event includes screenings followed by star-studded discussions with the series cast and creatives.

FOX has set the fall premiere dates for its new and returning series.

The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts and Joe's Pub at The Public join forces once again for the Kimmel Center Theater Residency. Under the tutelage of Jay Wahl, Producing Artistic Director of the Kimmel Center, and Shanta Thake, Director of Joe's Pub, the program serves as an incubator for artists and their collaborators to create and develop music and theater projects. The program will be held in the Kimmel Center's SEI Innovation Studio (300 South Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA) from June 18-30 with Public Readings, free and open to the public, on June 29 and 30. Readings will be followed by Q&A sessions with the artists.

His loyal, but less than helpful, friends include CHARLIE (Mull), a bumbling storyteller who constantly goes off on tangents about some bizarre, barely believable episode from his life; and SID (Jordan), a naysaying, pill-popping hypochondriac who shoots down every scheme, but still gets roped in. Complicating matters is MARGARET (Lawrence), a brash, confident woman who forces her way into their group and refuses to leave because she's not going to take crap from anyone – especially not these three. But what unites them all is their shared belief that they're not done yet – not by a long shot. Growing old with dignity is for chumps.
