The U.K. Prime Minister's Office had a negative reaction to the previously announced 'Black Out' nights at the upcoming West End production of Slave Play.

Slave Play, the provocative work from playwright Jeremy O. Harris, is headed to London's West End in a production led by Game of Thrones star Kit Harington and Olivia Washington with Fisayo Akinade and Aaron Heffernan.

On January 20, 2023 at 7pm, Samantha Shay's short film Mother Melancholia will screen as part of Dance Camera West film festival at Barnsdall Gallery Theatre.

The Public Theater presents its Free Shakespeare in the Park production of Public Works' AS YOU LIKE IT, running through Sunday, September 11 at The Delacorte Theatre. From June 24-July 1, 2022, Samantha Shay's short film Mother Melancholia will be available to screen online worldwide.

From May 9-15, Samantha Shay’s short film Mother Melancholia will be available for on-demand viewing via pay what you can, and all funds raised will go towards aiding the Ukrainian people. The film is a multi-layered portrait of four women set to a soundtrack for the end of the world. As part of the Under Construction Festival and in partnership with Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch, this special digital programming event will be available at bit.ly/MotherMelancholia. 

The evening will feature performances and remarks by Norm Lewis, Heidi Blickenstaff, Joshua Henry, Tom Kitt, Stephanie D'Abruzzo, Tyler Bunch, Scott Richards, Paulette Haupt, Ellie Ellsworth and others.

Center Theatre Group has announced a Black Out for the Friday, February 11, 2022, 8 p.m. performance of “Slave Play” at the Mark Taper Forum. Playwright Jeremy O. Harris and Los Angeles-born artist Martine Syms will welcome the audience to this special performance of “Slave Play” with a pre-show address.
