Inland Valley Repertory Theatre has announced Cate Caplin as director of its upcoming livestreaming play, 'Zero Hour.' A one-man play, Frank Minano will portray Zero Mostel -the outgoing and lively American actor best known for his roles as 'Tevye' in 'Fiddler on the Roof' and as 'Max Bialystock' in 'The Producers.'

Two honeymooning couples unknowingly have booked adjoining rooms with their respective former spouses. Forced to face their true feelings for each other, one former couple decides the marriages are a mistaken pairing.

This Spotlight focuses on Cate Caplin, a multiple award-winning producer, director and choreographer whose talents have ignited productions on television, in films, music videos, commercials, and in theatrical venues worldwide. But of course, her busy schedule was put on hold with the rest of the world, just as she was beginning to direct and choreograph a musical very close to her heart.

Last season's acclaimed, Ovation recommended production of The Gin Game, directed byChristian Lebano at the Sierra Madre Playhouse, will be re-staged outdoors atWill Geer's Theatricum Botanicum, with real life husband and wife teamAlan Blumenfeld andKatherine James reprising their roles. With Lebano again at the helm,performances of D.L Coburn's Pulitzer Prize-winning two-hander will run Aug. 17 through Sept. 29 in Theatricum's intimate S. Mark Taper Pavilion.

The next selection in the Off the Page series of staged readings at Sierra Madre Playhouse is the comedy A Thousand Clowns.

And from the moment I walked in and sat down, it was easy to hear all the audience accolades rightly being thrown Daavid's way.

The Coachella Valley Repertory (CVRep), now settled into its newly renovated 210 seat playhouse in Cathedral City, has announced it will remain open throughout the hot summer months to present an exciting line-up of one night only summer performances beginning in June, 2019.
