BWW Review: CARMEN at The Kennedy Center
by Rachael F. Goldberg
- May 24, 2022
While this production of 'Carmen' is very traditional on its face, the thoughtfulness and sheer talent packed into this performance elevates it to something far more engaging, and absolutely enchanting. It’s more than worthy of audiences’ time, and hopefully WNO’s fresh interpretation will help audiences reconsider the true tragedy presented.

BWW Review: EASY WOMEN SMOKING LOOSE CIGARETTES at Signature Theatre
by Rachael F. Goldberg
- Mar 2, 2020
'Easy Women Smoking Loose Cigarettes' is a smart, insightful show with an incredibly talented cast and production team. It's a heartfelt, surprisingly funny, and achingly realistic portrayal of a family struggling with their demons, brought to life by an outstanding team.

With very few exceptions stage musicals based off of comic books and horror movies are never truly successful. You're a Good Man Charlie Brown and Little Shop of Horrors are two very rare examples where those genres succeeded commercially.

BWW Review: SHE KILLS MONSTERS at Rorschach Theatre
by Roger Catlin
- Oct 24, 2019
There are signs that the grandaddy of role-playing games, Dungeons & Dragons, is making a comeback, even among the kind of kids who'd usually be glued to their computer games. But its depiction - and general celebration - in Qui Nguyen's 'She Kills Monsters' currently being revived by Rorschach Theatre at the Atlas Performing Arts Center, only seems to show it fading into the past faster than it did the last time it unfolded on this very stage in 2014.
