For the fifth holiday season, Big League Productions' critically acclaimed national tour of A Christmas Story, The Musical, delights in seven cities across the U.S., opening in Orange, TX on November 19, 2018. The tour will also play engagements in Knoxville, TN, Louisville, KY, Charlotte, NC, Dallas, TX, Davenport, IA and Detroit, MI.  The heart-warming TONY-nominated Broadway musical brings the classic holiday film vibrantly to life on stage by expanding the movie's iconic moments with breathtaking choreography and joyous songs.

This August, Stairwell Theater presents a workshop showing of William Shakespeare's 'Romeo & Juliet'. Set in a decaying contemporary society where team sports inform law, justice, and politics - can love defeat tribalism and break the game before the final buzzer? When does competition turn into violence? An athletic ensemble will tackle Shakespeare's best loved tragedy through a unique physical vocabulary informed by dance, team sports and original music.

Cortland Repertory Theatre kicks off their 47th annual summer season at the Little York Pavilion in Preble with the hysterical ship-board comedy Rough Crossing, written by Tom Stoppard which he "freely adapted" from Ferenc Molnar's comedy Play At The Castle. Performances will run from June 6th - 16th with evening show times at 7:30 PM.  Matinees are available on June 8th, 10th and 13th at 2:00 PM.  Tickets may be purchased by calling 800-427-6160 or at the CRT Box Office at 24 Port Watson Street in Cortland. Tickets are also available for sale 24 hours a day through the CRT website at www.cortlandrep.org with ETIX. CRT cautions that this is the only approved online ticket service; other online sites charge significantly higher rates for tickets and are NOT approved by CRT. James Taylor Odom, a native of Lawrenceville, Georgia, will play the role of the eight D'Ysquith heirs and Blake Price will portray the role of Monty Navarro.

With a book and lyrics by Robert L. Freedman and music and lyrics by Steven Lutvak, the musical comedy is based on the 1907 novel Israel Rank: The Autobiography of a Criminal by Roy Horniman, which was also the source for the 1949 British film Kind Hearts and Coronets.
