Andy Platts and Shawn Lee need no introduction, having each clocked up a life time of musical brownie points, whether through Andy’s career as a world renowned composer and singer/songwriter/guitarist with British soul sensations Mamas Gun or through Shawn’s esteemed work as a producer, multi-instrumentalist and composer.
This year’s lineup includes Jungle, Modest Mouse, Father John Misty, Goose, Sparks, Freddie Gibbs, José González, Triumph the Insult Comic Dog and more, with Jerrod Carmichael, Reignwolf, Modern Biology and Your Last Meal with Rachel Belle recently added.
Written and produced during the pandemic by Mamas Gun frontman Andy Platts with additional intricate soundscaping from drummer Chris Boot, Cure The Jones was recorded direct to tape with an array of analogue gear at Platts’ home studio in just three days, focussing the soulful energy of the band into a coherent gospel-tinged whole.
Formed in 2009, the current five-piece is Andy Platts (vocals), Terry Lewis (guitar), Dave Oliver (keys), Chris Boot (drums) and Cameron Dawson (bass). Platts has previously worked with Rod Temperton, Brian Jackson and John Oates (of Hall & Oates), and Lewis’ credits include collaborations with Leon Ware, Lewis Taylor and The Impressions.

Playing BDT Stage September 15 - November 3, 2018, this updated version features new songs, revised lyrics and dialogue throughout the show to reflect dating in today's world. This is not the same I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change you saw 20 years ago! It was funny then, and it's down- right hysterical now!
