Noted author and scholar Lorene Cary, whose first novel, The Price of a Child, was selected in 2003 as the inaugural One Book, One Philadelphia, will be presenting the world premiere of her play, MY GENERAL TUBMAN, at Philadelphia's Arden Theatre Company. The work, directed by award-winning theatre artist James Ijames, will run at the Arden's Arcadia Stage from January 16 to March 1, 2020. Like the stage version of Disney's Lion King before it, this production is high quality live theatre that excels on multiple levels. The Actors Fund announced that Disney's Frozen, the Tony Award®-nominated Best Musical, will hold a Special Performance of the North American Tour at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre (6233 Hollywood Boulevard, Los Angeles) on Thursday, January 16, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. Proceeds from the performance will benefit the programs and services of The Actors Fund, the national human services organization that helps everyone in performing arts and entertainment.
