TV: On the Opening Night Red Carpet for THE LIFESPAN OF A FACT!

The world premiere of The Lifespan of a Fact officially opens on Broadway tonight, October 18 at Studio 54 (254 West 54th Street). The production stars Daniel Radcliffe (Privacy, 'Harry Potter'), Cherry Jones (The Glass Menagerie, Doubt, '24'), and Bobby Cannavale (The Mother with the Hat, 'I, Tonya'). Written by Jeremy Kareken & David Murrell and Gordon Farrell, the play is directed by Tony Award nominee Leigh Silverman.

HATE BABY, HEDGEHOG YEARS, and HORSE LATITUDE Win Inaugural James Stevenson Prize For Comedic Short Plays

Playing On Air announced today the three winners of the inaugural James Stevenson Prize for comedic short plays. First Prize ($7,500, plus a Playing On Air recording for radio and podcast distribution) has been awarded to Hate Baby by Gracie Gardner. (Gardner is also the winner of the 2017 Relentless Award and author of the New York Times Critic's Pick Athena.) Second Prize ($2,000) has been awarded to Hedgehog Years by Lily Akerman. Third Prize ($1,000) has been awarded to Horse Latitudes (Who Wants to be an Equine Extra?) by Elizabeth Logun.

Amazon Studios today announced it has signed an overall television deal with visionary and award-winning writer Neil Gaiman. The creator of the highly anticipated Amazon Original series Good Omens and the Hugo Award-winning book American Gods, Gaiman will exclusively work with Amazon Studios on the creation of television series which will premiere globally on Amazon Prime Video in over 200 countries and territories.

Kathryn Hahn, John Cho, and Christian Navarro to be Honored at the San Diego International Film Festival

The San Diego International Film Festival (SDiFF), produced by the San Diego Film Foundation, announced today that they have honored Emmy-nominee Kathryn Hahn, star of Tamara Jenkins' “Private Life” with the Fairbanks Award, to honor her contribution to independent film, John Cho, star of “Searching,” with the Spotlight Award which recognizes an actor with the tenacity to forge new ground within their craft, and Christian Navarro, from the Gala Feature “Can You Ever Forgive Me?” with the Rising Star Award. The awards will be presented October 11th at The Night of the Stars Tribute at the Pendry San Diego in Downtown San Diego, CA.

Morano made history by being the first woman to ever win the Emmy and DGA Award in the same year for a dramatic series - both for her work on The Handmaid's Tale and was the first woman to win an Emmy in the Drama series category in 22 years.
