Producers and co-Presidents of the Prom Committee announced today that the National Tour of the 2019 Drama Desk Award winner for Outstanding Musical THE PROM will play the Winspear Opera House from July 26-31.

The hit Broadway musical The Prom will make its regional theatre debut at White Plains Performing Arts Center as part of the theatre's 20th Anniversary Season. The musical features a book and lyrics by Chad Beguelin, music by Matthew Sklar, and a book by Bob Martin.

Pioneer Theatre Company, Salt Lake City's fully professional regional theatre, has announced its 2022-2023 season, which includes the world premiere of a new Broadway musical, SHUCKED; the Utah premiere of THE PROM, and more.

The musical new musical based on Betty Boop will feature music from David Foster, a book by Tony Award-winner Bob Martin (The Drowsy Chaperone, The Prom) and lyrics by Susan Birkenhead (Jelly's Last Jam, High Society). Tony Award-winner Jerry Mitchell (Hairspray, Legally Blonde) will direct and choreograph.

The riveting drama HEROES OF THE FOURTH TURNING; the profound comedy ENGLISH; the  Pulitzer Prize-winner FAIRVIEW; the wildly imaginative romance WILD GOOSE DREAMS; and the joyous musical comedy THE PROM will make-up SpeakEasy Stage Company’s 32nd Season, the company’s Founder and Producing Artistic Director Paul Daigneault announced today.

Dear Readers, as we enter Pride month, I can’t think of a more delightful way to celebrate than having the national tour of the gay romp “The Prom” come to us at the 5th Avenue Theatre.

NETworks Presentations will once again spread Christmas cheer with a national tour of the hit Broadway musical ELF. The production will hit the road in November with tour stops planned through the holidays in Columbus, Detroit, Durham, Fort Worth, Jacksonville, and St. Louis with more cities to be announced shortly.

Vintage Theatre Productions announces 10 shows and two special events for the 2022-2023 season. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2:30 p.m. at Vintage Theatre, 1468 Dayton St. in Aurora. Early bird season tickets are currently on sale.

Today, composer Marc Shaiman shared via Facebook post that the first reading of 'SMASH- The Musical' took place on Friday, May 20th. The musical is centered around the hit NBC television show, which has a successful two season run back in 2012. 

HYPROV: Improv Under Hypnosis, the international sensation from the brilliant minds of Improv and Comedy Legend Colin Mochrie (“Whose Line Is It Anyway?”) and Master Hypnotist Asad Mecci, will make its New York City premiere this summer. 

Beck Center for the Arts is pleased to announce its 2022-2023 Professional Theater Season, the 89th season which includes Tony Award® Winners, comedies, dramas, return of the blockbuster Elf the Musical, and the twelfth collaboration with Baldwin Wallace University Musical Theatre program.  

ELF the smash hit musical returns to London in a new production at the Dominion Theatre for a strictly limited 8-week season, previewing from 14 November and opening 24 November 2022, with the season finishing on 7 January 2023.
