Dan Brown, #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Da Vinci Code, presents his new illustrated children's book and original orchestral music, Wild Symphony at The Music Hall in Portsmouth, NH, Saturday, July 8, at 3pm. 

Dan Brown, #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Da Vinci Code, has a new credential on his already-singular resume: composer of the orchestral music from Wild Symphony, his new illustrated children's book released by Rodale Kids, an imprint of Random House Children's Books.

Following roughly 130 submissions from Black and Hispanic composers, five cello and piano works from a Fall 2021 call for scores have been selected to be included in fully funded recording sessions with cellist Thomas Mesa and pianist Michelle Cann. The project will be recorded by PARMA Recordings' GRAMMY-winning audio team, and will be released by the Navona Records imprint.

Gail VanHoy Carolan, Director of Institutional Advancement, has announced her retirement from The Music Hall at the end of December 2021. VanHoy Carolan served the arts and entertainment center for 18 years—ten on the board of trustees and eight years as part of the creative professional staff.

On July 9 GRAMMY-winning choir The Crossing, led by Donald Nally, will release its 25th commercial album, WORDS ADORNED, on Navona Records. WORDS ADORNED features The Crossing with the Al-Bustan Seeds of Culture's Takht Ensemble - led by Hanna Khoury, who served as musical coach for the project - and Palestinian vocal soloist Dalal Abu Amneh.
