Bassist and composer Michael Feinberg will showcase his talents across the United States this April as he heads South for his upcoming tour.

Gary McAvay, former President of Columbia Artists Theatricals has passed away at age 68. 

The Maui Arts & Cultural Center presents Aaron Goldberg, noted jazz pianist, bandleader, and collaborator with some of the industry’s most accomplished musicians in a Maui debut for his trio in a ‘MACC Al Fresco’ concert in the open-air Yokouchi Pavilion Friday, February 18 at 7:30 pm. Tickets go on sale Wednesday, February 9 at  10:00 am.

The Nasher Sculpture Center announces 'SCULPTING SOUND: Twelve Musicians Encounter Bertoia', a series of six historic concerts, from February 22–27, 2022, bringing together twelve master musicians to explore the expressive range of Harry Bertoia's sounding sculptures, in complement to the exhibition Harry Bertoia: Sculpting Mid-Century Modern Life on view at the Nasher January 29 – April 23, 2022.

CHELSEA TABLE + STAGE has announced a special partnership with Jazz Foundation of America for a unique concert series to benefit the Hurricane Ida Relief Fund. The series, taking place every Wednesday in November at 7:00 PM, will highlight both noted jazz masters and rising talent.

The New Jersey Performing Arts Center celebrates the 10th annual TD James Moody Jazz Festival showcasing an all-star lineup of the country's best musicians, held Nov 5-21, including the award-winning Maria Schneider Orchestra, the New Jersey premiere of Christian McBride's The Movement Revisited, the Tony Award-winning Lillias White (currently on Broadway in Chicago), a special tribute concert to George Wein.

BAM R&B Festival returns for two weekends of free performances at Fort Greene Park, set for Saturdays and Sundays, October 2—3 and October 9—10. The DC Jazz Festival has announced the three bands selected as the 2021 DCJazzPrix Finalists, all of whom will perform Sunday, September 5, 2021 during the DCJazzPrix Finalsat Union Stage, part of the 17th Annual DC JazzFest.

Bard SummerScape will celebrate the uplifting spirit of Black music with Black Roots Summer, presented in association with Electric Root and organized and led by the rousing vocalist, bandleader, cultural commentator, and anti-racism educator Michael Mwenso and his longtime collaborator Jono Gasparro, former curator of Ginny’s Supper Club in Harlem.

On June 25th, Horizons Quartet, will release their self-titled debut on PM Records. Co-founded by up saxophonist Dan Wilkins and pianist James Collins, the quartet's youngest members, and anchored by a pair of their jazz heroes, drummer Byron Landham and bassist Gene Perla, Horizons Quartet is the consummate endorsement of multigenerational collaboration.

Last season, Palm Beach Symphony added arts to the STEM curriculum to create the STEAM-powered One Small Step and fuel students' imaginations. This year, after being shown to students in Palm Beach and Broward counties as virtual field trips, One Small Step is being offered as a free virtual family concert on Saturday, March 13 at 6 p.m.
