Greensboro Arts Alliance and Residency (GAAR) in Greensboro, Vermont announces its 2019 Mainstage Summer Season, kicking off July 25-28

Joseph Merrick, known for the extreme deformity of his body and face, lived in the Victorian era and would not be known except his story is dramatized as The Elephant Man. A Public Fit Theatre Company is presenting the Tony-award winning production by Bernard Pomerance starring Kurt Hellerigh as Merrick at The Usual Place May 3-26.

Williams Street Repertory, McHenry County's growing professional theatre company, is excited to announce its upcoming production of Bernard Pomerance's 'The Elephant Man' at Raue Center For The Arts. This moving drama based on the life of John Merrick opens on May 3, 2019 and runs select dates through May 19, 2019.

Similar to David Bowie's awe-inspiring physical transformation in the title role on Broadway, the current production of Bernard Pomerance's THE ELEPHANT MAN, a classic true-life tale and heart-wrenching story that depicts the best and the worst of humanity, presented by Thursday Night Theatre Club at the El Portal in NoHo, features an amazing performance by Tom Vitorino in the title role. His first appearance occurs with Merrick completely covered by filthy rags and laying in the dirt at a travelling Freak Show. But it is Vitorino's physical transformation, dressed only in Victorian-era underwear, as his deformities are described by his friend and savoir, Dr. Frederick Treves (John Ralston Craig), that sets the stage for the incredible production which follows that scene.

Activist theater company, Today Night Theater Club (@TNTheaterClub) continues its inaugural season with Eric Ulloa's '26 PEBBLES' on December 13, at the historic El Portal Theatre in North Hollywood. The Borderline Bar Victims Fund by Ventura County Community Foundation will receive a percentage of each ticket sold during the 10 week run.

Thursday Night Theater Club announce their cast of fourteen for The Elephant Man by playwright Bernard Pomerance.  Robyn Cohen is delighted to be at the helm with such a notable group of actors.   The production opens at El Portal Theatre. Co-Producers Tom Vitorino and Alice L. Walker (Thursday Night Theater Club), have signed acclaimed director/actor, Robyn Cohen for The Elephant Man by Bernard Pomerance at The El Portal Theatre MainStage.  Both Vitorino and Walker are thrilled to have Robyn Cohen at the helm directing their cast of twelve. Zao Theatre's production of THE ELEPHANT MAN, directed by Mickey Bryce, is a powerhouse of acting and stagecraft, moving and provocative in content, and featuring compelling performances by Kellen Garner as John Merrick and Tyler Boettcher as Frederick Treves. The show runs through September 8th.

The true story of Victorian England's medical mystery plays out in Bernard Pomerance's THE ELEPHANT MAN under Debbie Smith's direction.
