American Repertory Theatre has announced titles for its 2023/24 Season, including the highly-anticipated new musical adaptation Gatsby featuring an original score from award-winning recording artist, Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine. 

Chris Pine will voice King Magnifico in Disney's new animated musical comedy Wish. Pine will join the previously announced Ariana DeBose and Alan Tudyk. Pine will voice the ruler of Rosas, a magical kingdom of where all wishes really come true. Wish explores how the iconic wishing star came to be. DeBose voices the main character, Asha.

The producers of the multi award-winning, critically acclaimed production of CABARET at the KIT KAT CLUB in London's West End have announced that from Monday 29 May 2023, star of HBO's Euphoria Maude Apatow will play 'Sally Bowles' and star of NBC's Quantum Leap and Netflix's Sandman Mason Alexander Park will play 'The Emcee' with Beverley Klein as 'Fraulein Schneider' and Teddy Kempner as 'Herr Schultz'.

The Return of Benjamin Lay has its origins in protest. We were scheduled to give a plenary lecture at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt in Berlin on the theme, “What Comes after Nations?”. We decided to end our talk by having an actor dressed as Benjamin Lay come onto the stage to disrupt the proceedings by challenging the audience about their complicity with inequality and oppression.

Rehearsals are underway for the New York City Center production of Oliver! Canadian short-form series, STREAMS FLOW FROM A RIVER, recently premiered this month on April 1st. The series unravels the internal conflicts of an immigrant Chinese Canadian family past and present. The national tours of HADESTOWN and SIX will make their Lowcountry premieres part of the 2023-2024 Best of Broadway season at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center. HADESTOWN performances are January 2 – 7, 2024 and SIX performances are March 12 – 17, 2024. Each show will offer eight performances.
