Tonight the Orpheum Theatre Group revealed the 2019-2020 Broadway Season during an announcement event at the historic Orpheum Theatre. Attendees were the first to hear about next season's lineup. The evening also included special live performances from some of next season's shows.

Second Stage Theater has announced Shoshana Bean and Jason Robert Brown will perform THE LAST FIVE YEARS as a part of the special concert series, MUSICAL MONDAYS, in celebration of the acclaimed company's 40th anniversary. Jason Robert Brown will also direct the sold-out performance on Monday, March 4th.

Hennepin Theatre Trust announced today that individual tickets for the Minneapolis premiere of DEAR EVAN HANSEN will go on sale on Friday, Feb. 22. DEAR EVAN HANSEN comes to the historic Orpheum Theatre (910 Hennepin Ave.) as part of the 2018-2019 Bank of America Broadway on Hennepin series Tuesday, May 28 to Sunday, June 9, 2019. Due to unprecedented demand during the presale, tickets are expected to sell quickly.

While on the red carpet at the 2019 Brit Awards, Hugh Jackman was asked about the prospect of a sequel to the hit film, The Greatest Showman. He told BBC Entertainment, "For an actor I'm a bad liar... I have heard talk about it. But I don't know."

The first national touring production of the 2017 Best Musical Tony Award-winner Dear Evan Hansen will return to Chicago by popular demand for a limited 12-week engagement July 7 through September 27, 2020, at Broadway In Chicago's James M. Nederlander Theatre (24 W. Randolph). Individual tickets for the Dear Evan Hansen return engagement will go on-sale to the public Tuesday, February 19, 2019, at 10 a.m. Central, and pre-sale tickets will be available starting Monday, February 18 through Broadway In Chicago's eblast and Dear Evan Hansen's social media channels.

The American Theatre Wing announced today that the 2019 Jonathan Larson Grants recipients are Julia Gytri & Avi Amon (book, music and lyrics), Emily Gardner Xu Hall (book, music and lyrics), Andy Roninson (music and lyrics), and Ben Wexler (music and lyrics). Four prestigious grants of $10,000 each, as well as additional support in the form of residencies, concerts, and recording grants, totaling over $50,000, will be presented on Monday, March 19, 2018 at a private event at the WNYC Greene Space. The event will feature special performances of the recipients' work.

Boyfriends Ben Levi Ross and Taylor Trensch have both played Evan Hansen - on tour and on Broadway respectively, in addition to playing opposite each other on Broadway (with Ross as Jared.)
