The Toronto company of Dear Evan Hansen celebrated their official opening night on March 28th!

TheaterWorksUSA, the country's premier not-for-profit producer of professional theater for young and family audiences for over 57 years, will host its annual spring benefit at The Current at Chelsea Piers on Monday, April 29. Funds raised at the event will support TheaterWorksUSA's ongoing commitment to keeping theater accessible to diverse communities nationwide and providing opportunities for professional artists in New York City to create exceptional new work for young and family audiences.

Toronto is buzzing with anticipation for the opening of the International premiere of DEAR EVAN HANSEN. BroadwayWorld Toronto's Taylor Long sat down with Robert Markus and Jessica Sherman, playing Evan Hansen and Heidi Hansen in the new Canadian production.

As a part of the special concert series, Musical Mondays, Second Stage Theater has announced Adam Chanler-berat, Lawrence Clayton, Jennifer Damiano, Louis Hobson, Tamika Lawrence, Isaac Powell, Alice Ripley, Amy Spanger, J. Broadway In Boston announced today that individual tickets for the Boston premiere of DEAR EVAN HANSEN will go on sale Sunday, March 24, 2019. Dear Evan Hansen will play the Citizens Bank Opera House July 10 - August 4 as part of the 2018-2019 Lexus Broadway In Boston Season.

Wheelock Family Theatre at Boston University announces Roald Dahl's James and the Giant Peach featuring words and music by Tony, Oscar, Grammy, and Golden Globe Award-Winning Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, book by Timothy Allen McDonald, and based on the book by Roald Dahl. The WFT@BU production, directed by Artistic Director Emily Ranii with musical direction by Matt Stern and choreography by Juanita Pearl takes place April 12 through May 12, 2019 at 180 The Riverway, in Boston's Fenway neighborhood. Last night, NBC's Joe Fryer sat down to interview Andrew Barth Feldman, the new star of Broadway's hit musical "Dear Evan Hansen." At 16-years-old, Feldman is the show's youngest star. Feldman talked about how lucky he feels to be trusted with performing at such a young age, something that has never really been done before.

Dear Evan Hansen, today's going to be a good day and here's why... That's how the juggernaut of a little show that could, opens. Nearly 427,000 hashtags later, DEAR EVAN HANSEN is not only a phenomenon but literally part of America's cultural heritage. Artifacts from the show, still running on Broadway, were accepted into The Smithsonian's National Museum of American History collection last fall, a decision which Curator Ryan Lintelman says was a no-brainer. 'It has this freshness to it that helps people to connect to these issues of social media and the internet, of depression and anxiety, and how you present yourself in a world that's increasingly digital,' he said. DEAR EVAN HANSEN tells the story of Evan, an awkward, self-conscious, and lonely teen. He is encouraged by a doctor to write affirmation letters to himself, one of which is intercepted by an outcast named Connor in the school computer lab. After Connor commits suicide, Connor's mother finds Evan's letter. Evan then finds himself entangled in a lie that was never meant to be told, living a life he had only imagined. DEAR EVAN HANSEN opened on Broadway in 2016 and won six 2017 Tony Awards, including Best Musical. And rightfully so. This is the right show for right now, a commentary on a media age that connects us virtually, but often, imprisons and cripples us socially.
