Broadway in Portland is pleased to announce its 2019/20 Season with a schedule full of classics, brand-new productions, and hit musicals direct from Broadway.
The 2019/20 Season starts with the acclaimed new production of the legendary musical MISS SAIGON, followed by a fresh and authentic presentation of the beloved theatrical masterpiece FIDDLER ON THE ROOF.
Next up is the six-time Tony Award winning Broadway musical and 2018 Grammy Award nominee DEAR EVAN HANSEN, playing its premiere Portland engagement. From the producers of The Lion King and Aladdin, Disney's FROZEN, the Tony nominated Best Musical arrives in spring. Heralded by The New Yorker as "thrilling" and "genuinely moving" FROZEN quickly emerged as the biggest musical hit of last year's Broadway season.
In early summer, ANASTASIA, the romantic and adventure-filled new musical inspired by two beloved films, makes its way to Portland. Then the subscription season rounds out with MEAN GIRLS, the hilarious new musical coming direct from Broadway, featuring an all-star creative team.
The season option this year, back by popular demand, is perennial favorite THE BOOK OF MORMON, returning to Portland for a limited engagement.

MISS SAIGON | NOVEMBER 5 - 10, 2019
Experience the acclaimed new production of the legendary musical MISS SAIGON, from the creators of Les Misérables. This is the story of a young Vietnamese woman named Kim who is orphaned by war and forced to work in a bar run by a notorious character known as the Engineer. There she meets and falls in love with an American G.I. named Chris, but they are torn apart by the fall of Saigon. For three years, Kim goes on an epic journey of survival to find her way back to Chris, who has no idea he's fathered a son. Featuring stunning spectacle and a sensational cast of 42 performing the soaring score, including Broadway hits like "The Heat is On in Saigon," "The Movie in My Mind," "Last Night of the World" and "American Dream," this is a theatrical event you will never forget.
