On November 16, 2019, the Auditorium Theatre continues its 130th anniversary season with a salute to the living legend Stephen Sondheim in a one-night-only event, directed and produced by local cabaret star Joan Curto.

Eleanor's Very Merry Christmas Wish - The Musical, a new family-friendly holiday production, will debut at the Greenhouse Theater Center, 2257 N. Lincoln Ave., Chicago, November 19 - December 29, 2019.

In a combined triumph for the Classic Popular Songbook, its purveyors and adherents, and the professionalism and perseverance of THE MABEL MERCER FOUNDATION, that unique organization presents its 30th Annual New York Cabaret Convention at The Rose Theater, Jazz at Lincoln Center, beginning Monday, October 28th and running through Thursday, October 31st. The four individual concerts will be offered at 6:00 PM each evening, and more than seventy-five vocalists and musicians are scheduled to perform. Tickets are on sale at the Jazz at Lincoln Center box office and www.jazz.org starting today, Monday, September 9.

One of the Country's most in-demand duos, Beckie Menzie and Tom Michael, will perform their new show entitled 'That 60's Show', at the Arthur Newman Theatre on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at 2 PM. The show features popular songs from the 1960's with their unique blend of whimsical banter, nostalgic stories, and vocals talent with Beckie on the baby grand piano, and will be their Palm Springs area debut. Porchlight Music Theatre welcomed a sold out crowd at the 13th Annual Chicago Sings concert fundraiser; Chicago Sings The MGM Musicals, held Monday, Aug. 20 at 7 p.m., at Second City's UP Comedy Club, 230 W. North Ave, direction by Keely Vasquez, music direction by Porchlight Artistic Associate Beckie Menzie, stage management by Jake Allen Miller and sound design Robert Hornbostel. Monday's event was the company's most successful Chicago Sings to date. Sales from this one-night-only performance benefit Porchlight Music Theatre's youth educational and community outreach programming raising more than $54,000.

The Cabaret Room at Drury Lane Theatre announces The Summer Series featuring some of Chicago's top cabaret artists in unforgettable limited engagements at Drury Lane's intimate Cabaret Room. The Summer Series will include performances by Chicago's Cabaret Queen Denise Tomasello (August 3 and 4), Beckie Menzie and Tom Michael (August 17 and 18), and Joan Curto (August 24 and 25). Lynn University and Jan McArt, producer and director of theatre arts program development, today announced that the popular Mabel Mercer Foundation's Cabaret at Lincoln Center comes to Live at Lynn series will return in January. Five of Manhattan's leading cabaret shows will be presented on Wednesday nights, once a month through May, in Lynn's Amarnick-Goldstein Concert Hall. Season tickets are available at $150, with individual concert tickets only $40.
