THIS REALLY IS TOO MUCH Announces National Tour

In their fun, feminist show This Really Is Too Much, Leeds based Gracefool Collective strut their stuff in business suits, sparkly dresses and bikinis to a brilliantly varied and often familiar soundtrack. A theatrical presentation where dancing and dark comedy combine to delve into a world of farcical stereotypes and preposterous power struggles, wrestling with gender, identity, control and social convention for an outlandish and wildly entertaining medley of absurd political speeches, talent contests and box ticking. Slickly choreographed, wildly entertaining, raucous, provocative and laugh-out-loud funny and positively dripping with feminist charm and anarchic wit.

Review: SISTER ACT Offers a Sparkling Tribute to the Universal Power of Friendship, Sisterhood and Music

SISTER ACT is a feel-good musical comedy smash hit based on the 1992 film that has audiences ready to rejoice! Featuring original music by Tony® and 8-time Oscar® winner Alan Menken (Disney's Aladdin and Beauty and the Beast, Newsies, Enchanted), dazzling dance routines and songs inspired by Motown, soul and disco, SISTER ACT qualifies as the funniest and funkiest musical around. Lately this popular musical has been performed at many theaters in the greater Los Angeles area, each one brilliant in its own right. But I have to say I have never seen one more perfectly cast than the current production at the Simi Valley Cultural Center with the amazingly talented Elizabeth Adabale as Deloris Van Cartier, a disco diva whose life takes a surprising turn when she witnesses a murder and then goes into hiding in a convent!

Masters Of Soul Comes To Milwaukee

This 90-minute show features stylishly costumed, fully choreographed performances of both male and female groups backed by a live band. For many, Masters of Soul is the ultimate stroll down memory lane.

Surviving That First Gig: A Chat With The GroovaLottos About Their First Show

'We had been jamming in the carriage house for almost two years and sounded pretty good,' recalls Mwalim DaPhunkee Professor, 'I had brought in a digital recorder and we even made a demo of about 4 or five songs.' 'The only thing,' added Eddie Ray Johnson, 'was that all we knew were about 4 or five songs... completely. We also knew a couple of Mwalim's originals; but otherwise, we barely had a complete set. The next rehearsal, Mwalim casually mentions that we had two gigs coming up, both on the same day.'

When disco diva Deloris Van Cartier witnesses a murder, she is put into protective custody in the one place cops are sure she won't be found-a convent! Using her fabulous disco-ness and killer voice to inspire the choir, Deloris breathes new life into the church, but in doing so blows her cover. Soon it's nun-on-the-run time but she finds salvation in the heavenly power of her new sisterhood. BWW Review: Hallelujah! SISTER ACT comes to California Music Circus

Dancing, singing, bad-guy-catching nuns? You can't go wrong with that combination! Based on the 1992 movie starring Whoopi Goldberg, Sister Act the musical is a feel-good, rousing testament to the power of sisterhood set in 70's funk, soul and disco.
