Recently appointed Co-Producing Artistic Directors James Barry and Tara Franklin have announced the full casting for Chester Theatre Company’s 2023 season, the first under their direction. 

The stars and beautiful people came out to play at the 58th FLEUR DU CAP AWARDS last Sunday night - 26 March 2023. It was such a treat to be surrounded by so many great theatre makers and talented human beings, as well as to honour those who have done incredible things in the last year.

It was a glittering affair at the Oude Libertas Amphitheatre in Stellenbosch on Sunday, 26 March, when the winners of the 58th Fleur du Cap Theatre Awards were announced. The event was one of many celebrating World Theatre Day globally on the 27th of March.

The Berkshire Theatre Critics Association has announced the nominees for the 5th Berkshire Theatre Awards, known colloquially as The Berkies.

Three University of Wolverhampton graduates and a former Drama lecturer have collaborated to create a new all-female play which is currently being shown at the Arena Theatre in Wolverhampton. 

Chester Theatre Company (CTC) is bringing its 2021 season, dubbed Chester@Hancock, to the Berkshires this summer. All three productions will be staged in a large tent on the grounds of Hancock Shaker Village. Play to the Crowd, the charity that runs Theatre Royal Winchester, has released an ‘On Demand’ recording of its recent Christmas show Four Dames in Search of a Panto. It was recorded on Christmas Eve - the last show on before coronavirus restrictions cut short the production run.

At the weekend Theatre Royal Winchester hosted the first previews of its socially distanced Christmas Show, Four Dames in Search of a Panto. These were the first live performances in the theatre since 15 March. Four Dames in Search of a Panto features panto set pieces, hilarious gags, original songs and familiar faces to Winchester audiences.

Theatre Royal Winchester has today confirmed that their Christmas show, Four Dames in Search of a Panto, will go ahead as planned, showing from Saturday 5 December 2020 to Sunday 3 January 2021 as the city is placed in Tier 2 restrictions.
