The full cast has been announced for the West End production of PRETTY WOMAN: THE MUSICAL. Joining the previously announced Aimie Atkinson as 'Vivian Ward' and Danny Mac as 'Edward Lewis' are Rachael Wooding as 'Kit De Luca', Bob Harms as 'Happy Man/Mr Thompson', Neil McDermott as 'Philip Stuckey' and Mark Holden as 'James Morse'. The Fire This Time Festival, the destination for early career and emerging playwrights from the African diaspora, announces its 2020 dates. The 14-day festival, presented in collaboration with FRIGID New York, which annually honors Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. will take place from January 20 to February 2, 2020. This year, seven commissioned dramatists will be presented in repertoire as part of the annual celebration held at the Kraine Theater in the East Village.

BroadwayWorld Books frequently chronicles the path books take as they're picked up for the silver screen, television, or streaming services. In recent years, Netflix has been aggressively perusing bookstores to find the next successful series. This past month, the Witcher series by Andrzej Sapkowski did so well, the publisher broke stock and the books are on back-order. Netflix just announced a long list of movies coming out on its platform in 2020, and many of them are book adaptations.

Six mainstage productions, several of which explore positive and dramatic social change on the Island of Ireland in the past decade, will be part of the 2020 Origin 1st Irish Theatre Festival, running in venues across the city from January 7 to February 3. New York's all-Irish theatre festival and the world's only festival devoted exclusively to producing the plays of contemporary Irish playwrights from around the world, presents productions from Belfast, Dublin, Wexford, Manhattan and Queens. Three are American premieres; two are world premieres. The American premiere of Eva O'Connor's 'Maz and Bricks' and the world premiere of Sean Sugrie's 'The 8th' open the Festival on January 7.

FRANKENSTEIN, the Off-Broadway musical at St. Luke's Theatre, which opened in October 2017, announces new cast members as it extends into 2020, with tickets through January 28, 2020 on sale now. Frankenstein plays Tuesdays at 7 PM at St. Luke's Theatre. Based on Mary Shelley's novel, with book, music and lyrics by Eric B.
