The Yardley Players production of 'Last of the Red Hot Lovers' takes personal desperation and hilarity to an entirely new level when married, middle-aged and nebbishy Barney Cashman, a seafood restaurant owner, tests out his inner Don Juan. The Neil Simon classic takes the stage at the Kelsey Theatre at Mercer County Community College (MCCC) Feb. 14 through 23.

Sam Shepard's The Unseen Hand joins Odyssey Theatre Ensemble's 50th Anniversary “Circa '69” Season of significant and adventurous plays that premiered around the time of the company's inception, coupled with Shepard's gritty and audacious Killer's Head. Longtime Shepard collaborator Darrell Larson directs both plays for a Jan. 25 opening at the Odyssey Theatre in West L.A., where performances will continue through March 8.

FRANKENSTEIN, the Off-Broadway musical at St. Luke's Theatre which opened in October 2017, has been extended again as an open run, with tickets through April 28 on sale now. Frankenstein plays Tuesdays at 7 PM at St. Luke's Theatre. Based on Mary Shelley's novel, with book, music and lyrics by Eric B. Sirota, FRANKENSTEIN is directed by Clint Hromsco and produced by John Lant, Write Act Repertory and Tamra Pica.

The Apollo Theater announced today that it will screen the iconic MGM film Shaft (1971), as part of the Apollo Film series, on Saturday February 29th at 8:00 p.m. The screening will be accompanied by a live performance of Isaac Hayes' Academy Award® nominated score by Burnt Sugar the Arkestra Chamber, a sprawling band of musicians led by founder and cultural critic Greg Tate.
