After a successful 15 show run, the popular, revealing new musical SHOOTING STAR is extending into January. 

After a tumultuous two and a half years, theater has come back and with it, voices speaking up and out with new stories on important topics, and using the medium to shed light on communities that we don't necessarily see in the musical theater world.

Casting has been announced for an upcoming production of SHOOTING STAR - A Revealing New Musical at 3 DOLLAR BILL. Limited engagement beginning October 25th, 2022

It’s clear that night three of the City Center Dance Festival will not be a carefree return to our yesteryears, but a step into what comes next in the arts.  There is no better steward for this unknown future than The Paul Taylor Dance Company. 

Paul Taylor Dance Company will perform at the inaugural City Center Dance Festival from March 24-31, at New York City Center.

Artistic Director and Choreographer David Parsons himself introduced the single performance evening at The Segerstrom to a thirsty audience, eager to see the dance company that had been lauded in advance at the beginning of this year's season and of course the much awaited return to live performances and audiences. He gave us a revised rundown of the pieces that were to be performed that night. He is very personable, relatable and captivating as he explains their endeavors, processes and the added hardships Covid placed on the company. The dancers, over the past year-and-a-half were in seven separate 'bubbles' to be able to work on and perfect the choreography. We learned after the performance, in a short Q & A with the dancers and David, that some of the dancers had only been with the company a few months! Their repertoire is quite extensive and precise with many lifts and lots of technique; not an easy feat! And not easy on the feet! They did not disappoint!

Parsons Dance opened on Tuesday night at The Joyce Theater to the delight of a captivated audience. It’s a pleasure to be back seeing live dance performances and the company made the night magical with new works and favorites.

The dance theatre hit Beyond Babel will return to New York this fall to complete the final eight weeks of its original Off-Broadway run. Performances will begin again on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at The Gym at Judson (243 Thompson Street).

The Tank (Meghan Finn, Artistic Director) will present the World Premiere of InVersion Theatre's Or, An Astronaut Play, written by Johnny G. Lloyd and directed by William Steinberger at The Tank (312 West 36th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues), January 4-26. The Flea Theater will extend three acclaimed productions in MAC WELLMAN: PERFECT CATASTROPHES. This festival of plays by the influential vanguard playwright Mac Wellman runs through November 1. The final two plays in the festival -- a double bill of short one-acts The Sandalwood Box and The Fez -- open on October 5; and The Art of Stacking the Deck: A Mac Wellman Symposium exploring Wellman's profound impact on the American theater runs October 4 a?" 6.

THE BIGOT, the new hot topic play by Gabi and Eva Mor that will have a full Off-Broadway run at the Theatre at St. Clement's  will have its first preview on (423 West 46th Street) April 26 - just two weeks away.
