Transport Group has announced that its 2024 gala will honor Broadway producer Jennifer Costello and Activate4Good founder Jan Svendsen Weiss with its Transporting American Theatre Award on Tuesday, April 30, at The Edison Ballroom, 240 West 47 Street.

Transport Group has announced casting for its one-night-only performance of the Frank Capra holiday classic, It's a Wonderful Life, directed by Artistic Director Jack Cummings III, which takes place Monday, December 12, at 8pm, at The Sheen Center for Thought and Culture, 18 Bleecker Street.

Transport Group in partnership with National Asian American Theatre Company (NAATCO) is presenting Edward Albee's A Delicate Balance, directed by Transport Group Artistic Director Jack Cummings III, at the Connelly Theater, 220 East 4 Street. Check out photos from opening night here!

 Artistic Director, Scott Coulter, has announced that the Pocono Mountains Music Festival will bring music back to the Pocono Mountains this summer, with performances July 23rd through July 31st. Performances will be held at venues across the Poconos - Buck Hill Falls, Skytop Lodge, Pocono Mountains East High School, and the Sherman Theater.

Kick off the new year with the resolution to engage in new theater education programs through Two River Theater's Winter Education Series starting January 12. 

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, actress Lynn Cohen who gained fame in 'Sex and the City' and 'The Hunger Games' died on February 14th. Cohen has appeared in over 120 movies as well as a string of Broadway and Off-Broadway plays and television appearances. She was 86. John M. 'Jack' Allison, prestigious theater teacher and director in the United States, Canada, and Europe, died peacefully at the age of 78 on June 16, 2019 in East Northport, New York. Born in Bayonne, New Jersey, he graduated from New Jersey City University with a BA in American Literature and History before earning an MA in Speech and Drama from The Catholic University of America, and a PhD (ABD) in Theatre and Directing from the University of Denver.

As BroadwayWorld sadly reported earlier this week, Marni Nixon, perhaps best known for dubbing the singing voices of the leading actresses in films, including THE KING AND I, WEST SIDE STORY and MY FAIR LADY, passed away from breast cancer on July 24th. She was 86.

More exciting casting has been announced for Transport Group's benefit concert celebrating the classic 1954 musical, Peter Pan.

See 'I Remember Mama' at Two River Theater in Red Bank now through June 26th. This fine piece of classic theater is wonderfully staged and beautifully performed by an ensemble of ten veteran actresses.
