At its annual meeting today, the Guthrie Theater (Joseph Haj, Artistic Director) reflected on the organization's 2020–2021 fiscal year, which began September 1, 2020, and ended August 31, 2021. While onstage performances were shuttered due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Guthrie reached audiences through virtual programming and events, connecting communities during a time when healing and inspiration were greatly needed.

Manhattan School of Music will present a workshop presentation of Don’t Stop Me, a new musical by Dave Malloy and Krista Knight directed by Chloe Treat at the Riverside Church Theatre (91 Claremont Ave New York, NY 10027), February 17-20.

Drummer Elena Bonomo, who performs nightly in the all-female band, The Ladies in Waiting, in Broadway’s hit musical SIX, and whose new single is entitled “Together,” will appear on “Late Night with Seth Meyers” throughout the week of January 24 when she sits in for bandleader Fred Armisen as guest drummer with the 8G Band.

Dazzling listeners with her soulful vocals and carefully crafted lyrics, the singer-songwriter was a finalist in Essence Festival’s “Show Your Range” contest and won the “Wawa Welcome America” contest, where she opened for Lauryn Hill, Common and more. This season, the Belgrade Theatre hosts a fantastic range of shows for children of all ages. Little ones can take a stroll through the deep, dark wood with The Gruffalo, and enjoy magical puppetry with Oi Frog and Friends! Live on Stage. There's something for older ones too, with brand new stage adaptations of George Orwell's Animal Farm and Michael Morpurgo's Private Peaceful.

Long Island's largest year-round professional theatrical venue, The Argyle Theatre (Mark and Dylan Perlman, Executive Producers & Managing Partners; Evan Pappas, Artistic Director), presents the World Premiere of PUNK ROCK GIRL with book and arrangements by Tony-nominated Long Island Composer Joe Iconis (Broadway's Be More Chill), arrangements and orchestrations by Rob Rokicki (Broadway's The Lightning Thief), directed and choreographed by Jennifer Werner (Worldwide Associate for Book Of Mormon), musical direction by Jennifer Peacock, and in partnership with Lively McCabe Entertainment. The show opened on January 22 and will run through February 27, 2022.

After winning 10 Tony awards on Broadway, the long-awaited adaptation of Baz Luhrmann’s extravagant 2001 film is now officially open at a red velvet-swathed Piccadilly Theatre in a blaze of sparkle and light.

Due to popular demand, The United Solo Theatre Festival, the largest solo performance festival in the world, is extending open submissions for the 2022 Annual United Solo Theatre Festival at Theatre Row Theatres in New York City. Interested artists now have until February 1st to submit their solo pieces for consideration for next fall's festival.

Kennesaw State University's Bailey School of Music will present the annual Collage Concert at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 5. Led by Dr. Jesús Castro-Balbi, the Bailey School of Music will present the signature production for the 16th year in a row as the sole fundraising concert for student scholarships.

From Creator Chris Van Dusen, the second season of Bridgerton follows Lord Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey), the eldest Bridgerton sibling and Viscount, as he sets out to find a suitable wife. The cast also includes Charithra Chandran, Nicola Coughlan, Adjoa Andoh, Lorraine Ashbourne, Harriet Cains, Bessie Carter, Shelley Conn, and more.

3rd Act Theatre Company will present An Ideal Husband, written by Oscar Wilde, re-imagined, adapted, and directed by Kate Adams. An Ideal Husband is the Company's third Mainstage production of Season 3: UNKNOWN.

All new production photos have been released for Moulin Rouge! in the West End. The musical opens on 20 January at the Piccadilly Theatre. The cast of Moulin Rouge! is led by Liisi LaFontaine and Jamie Bogyo in the roles of Satine and Christian.

Drag Race alumni from around the world will be battling it out, with judges RuPaul, Michelle Visage, Alan Carr, and Graham Norton presiding over the competition. A new booking period has been announced for the West End production of the Tony, Grammy and Olivier Award-winning smash hit musical JERSEY BOYS.  Patrons will be able to book performances through to 2 October 2022. Tickets are now on sale.

Two of the Sphinx Organization's flagship annual events —the 25th annual Sphinx Competition for Black and Latinx musicians and the organization's annual convening, SphinxConnect—will take place virtually Thursday, January 20 through Saturday, January 29.
