The Producers Guild of America (PGA) hosted the 34th Annual Producers Guild Awards on Saturday, February 25th at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The evening recognized influential film producers and entertainment icons with special honors including Tom Cruise with the David O. Selznick Achievement Award in Theatrical Motion Pictures; Mindy Kaling with the Norman Lear Achievement Award in Television; Michael De Luca and Pamela Abdy with the Milestone Award; and “Till” with the Stanley Kramer Award.

Austin Butler sat down on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon last night to discuss starring in Baz Luhrmann's recent Elvis biopic. During the interview, Butler discussed how doing Iceman Cometh with Denzel Washington on Broadway changed his career, crediting Washington has one of the reasons he secured the role of Elvis. Director Baz Luhrmann has teased that a stage adaption of Elvis could be a possibility. The original Moulin Rouge! director helmed a critically acclaimed biopic on iconic singer Elvis Presley, which was released over the summer. The feature starred Austin Butler as Elvis Presley and Tom Hanks as his manager, Colonel Tom Parker.

KMFA Classical 89.5 will present the final two of three commissioned works by the Dallas-based, rising composer Quinn Mason, the inaugural composer of the Draylen Mason Composer-in-Residence program. Each piece will be premiered in October.
