Due to ongoing concerns related to COVID-19, Ballet Arizona announced a departure from the company's previously planned 35th Anniversary fall season of main-stage performances. Director's Choice, Giselle and the beloved annual production of The Nutcracker have been removed from the performance calendar and a more digitally focused fall season is planned.

The Department of Dance at the University of California, Irvine, presents Dance Visions, a concert showcasing choreographic works by UCI Dance Faculty, at the Irvine Barclay Theatre, February 20-22, 2020. The artistic directors for this year's production are Dance Department Chair Molly Lynch and Tong Wang. Esteemed choreographers presenting original works include Distinguished Professor Lar Lubovitch, Charlotte Griffin, Loretta Livingston, and Chad Michael Hall. The concert will also include excerpts of the romantic ballet La Sylphide, restaged by Tong Wang and choreographed by August Bournonville in 1836.
San Francisco Ballet and Artistic Director & Principal Choreographer Helgi Tomasson will launch the 2020 Repertory Season with SPELLBOUND: SF Ballet's Opening Night Gala on Thursday, January 16, 2020. One of the Bay Area's most anticipated annual events, the Gala, this year chaired by Patricia Dale Roberts, begins with a cocktail reception and black-tie fundraising dinner at San Francisco City Hall at 5 pm. August Bournonville (August 21, 1805 - November 30, 1879) was a dancer, choreographer, and director of The Royal Danish Ballet. TWB's Alexandros Pappajohn traveled to Copenhagen, Denmark on April 8 for two months and has been cast in Lady of the Camellias. Tobias Praetorius a member of The Royal Danish Ballet Corps de Ballet performed with TWB in the company's Three World Premieres at The Harman Center April 3-7, 2019. He had a lead role in Trey McIntyre's Teeming Waltzes.
