“To be an actor is to be.” This quote has set the foundation for everything I do in life. It was one of the first things I heard when I began Atlantic’s Staging Success program my freshman year of high school, where once a week my classmates and I met with acting teachers from Atlantic Acting School. This is a privilege that many children are not able to experience and I am so thankful that I did.

Broadway in Portland has announced that THE BAND’S VISIT, featuring music and lyrics by Tony Award® and Drama Desk Award-winner David Yazbek, will be coming to Keller Auditorium in Portland from January 4 – 9, 2022.

Atlantic Theater Company has announced casting for the world premiere production of English, written by Sanaz Toossi, directed by Knud Adams, and co-produced by Roundabout Theatre Company (Roundabout Underground).

Zions Bank Broadway at the Eccles announced today that the individual tickets for the tour of The Band's Visit, featuring music and lyrics by Tony and Drama Desk Award-winner David Yazbek, went  on sale Friday, November 12 at 10am.  

Theatre production company Parity Productions, the only New York theatre company that ensures that they fill at least 80% of the creative roles on their own productions—playwrights, directors, and designers—with women, trans, and gender-expansive artists and offers free tools to encourage the rest of the theatre industry to do the same, has awarded two commissions to Kelley Nicole Girod for This Stretch of Montpelier and M Sloth Levine for At Hotel MacGuffin. The ceremony took place on Wednesday, November 10th as a hybrid event over zoom and in person at the Manny Cantor Center.

In celebration of United Solo Theatre Festival's return to its resident stage/home at Theatre Row in New York's theatre district, Omar Sangare, the Festival's founder and artistic director, joined forces with actor and singer Wendy-Lane Bailey to create “Five Minutes: Snapshots in Time”. The solo piece premieres Sunday, November 14th at 7:00 PM.
