Musical Theatre of Anthem announces 7 National Youth Arts (NYA) Award Winners and Nominees for Additional 37 NYA Nominations! National Youth Arts honors outstanding work by youth in the arts.

Based on the 1984 Academy Award-nominated blockbuster hit, Footloose shows how a little teenage rebellion and a love of music can open hearts and transform a town. Broadway's Tony Award-winning Best Musical, Dear Evan Hansen, is currently in its third record-smashing year at the Music Box Theatre. Following the success of the Broadway production, a national tour launched soon after, bringing the story across North America. A sit-down production made its way to Toronto earlier this year, and will be followed by a West End production set to debut in October 2019 at the Noel Coward Theatre.

Muny announced today its complete cast, design and production team for Footloose, the fifth show of its second century, July 18 - 24.

BroadwayWorld has learned that The Muny announced today 25 principal cast members for the first season of its second century. Complete company casting will be announced throughout April and May. The 101st season opens on a brand new, state-of-the-art stage with Muny favorite Guys and Dolls followed by the U.S. regional premiere of Kinky Boots. The season continues with 1776, Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella, Footloose and a newly-reimagined Lerner and Loewe's Paint Your Wagon. Season 101 closes with the highly-anticipated Muny debut of Roald Dahl's Matilda.

A whole lot happened in Oz before Dorothy dropped in, and Wicked has been telling that story to Broadway audiences for 15 years at the Gershwin Theatre. The milestone won't go by uncelebrated, as in just days, NBC will throw a joyous Halloween party for the ages, featuring songs from the blockbuster musical hit and a cavalcade of special guest stars, including Tony Award winners Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth. Additional guest performers include Ariana Grande, Adam Lambert, Ledisi, Pentatonix and the current Broadway company of 'Wicked.'.

Like most auditions, the audition for the musical, "Gift of the Magi," at the Players' Ring in Portsmouth brought all manner of actors, some more talented and some less. But when producer and director Deborah Barry looked at the pool of players available to her, she realized she could put together a very special cast.

Naperville's Summer Place Theatre is proud to present FOOTLOOSE! The Musical, based on the original screenplay by Dean Pitchford. FOOTLOOSE is the third of three shows taking place at Summer Place Theatre this season. The production features direction by Madison Smith, fresh choreography by Samantha Sieghart, music direction by Emma Gingold and is produced by Jeff Sand. Also featured is the works of Jensine Waller (Technical Director), Sabrina Zeidler (Scenic Designer), Jeff Sand (Sound Designer), Alaina Pizzoferrato (Lighting Designer), Mackenzie Grattan (Costume Designer), Danielle Goldberg (Stage Manager), and Meghan King (Assistant Stage Manager/ Props Master).
