The lineup is complete for the next installment of the Broadway Sings concert series, honoring the foremost and most influential act of the rock era with Broadway Sings The Beatles. The one-night-only concert, held December 4 at 7:30pm, will feature completely new arrangements of the hits of this legendary band, accompanied by a 14-piece orchestra playing original orchestrations.

Producers Scott Rudin and Roy Furman will soon present Rodgers & Hammerstein's classic musical Carousel, directed by three-time Tony Award winner Jack O'Brien and choreographed by Justin Peck. Carousel will begin preview performances on Wednesday, February 28, 2018, and will officially open on Thursday, April 12 at the Imperial Theatre (249 West 45th Street).
It was recently announced that Carousel will begin performances at the Imperial Theatre next spring, starring Betsy Wolfe as Carrie Pipperidge, Alexander Gemignani as Enoch Snow, and Margaret Colin as Mrs. Mullin. This is in addition to the previous casting announcement that includes Joshua Henry as Billy Bigelow, Jessie Mueller as Julie Jordan, Renee Fleming as Nettie Fowler, Amar Ramasar as Jigger, and Brittany Pollock as Louise. The cast of Miss Saigon on Broadway will be live at The Green Room 42, singing 'whatever they want' to benefit the National Asian Artists Project on August 6 at 8 p.m.
Taking place at 9:30pm on Sunday, July 9, 2017 at New York's famed The Cutting Room, a group of Broadway performers and musical theatre artists will join forces to raise money for those affected by the attack at the Ariana Grande concert on May 21 in Manchester, England. Entitled 'Total Request Live: Break Free (a night for Manchester)' this special event will feature the work of Ariana Grande, as rearranged by the creative team and artists, and will benefit the We Love Manchester United Fund.
You don't always need a fairy godmother for your dreams to come true. Nineteen-year-old Emily Bautista was lucky enough to have extremely supportive parents and a boatload of talent instead. The thankful and humble young woman is now performing eight times a week in the Broadway revival of “Miss Saigon” as an ensemble member and understudies the lead: Kim. Emily and I actually went to high school together at the Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts for Musical Theatre, and I was floored and overjoyed to see that she had been cast in the production. Bautista took some time in between shows of the Tony-nominated production to chat with me about her experience landing her first Broadway show.
